Rome finally has something different, The Rod Mill Indoor Market. It appears better than the Flea Market that years ago was at the Drive Inn. Obviously because this is indoors, year round! On Saturday they have a Amish family with fantastic baked goods. There are crafters with a large variety of items you don't find in chain stores. One guy has a display of wildlife photography with beautiful shots of animals and birds I didn't even knew where around here. Last week I found a FENTON hand painted cat, still had the tag on it with birthstones around the neck and paid ONE DOLLAR for it!!! They have food vendors and tables and chairs if you need to take a break from walking around. For those that haven't heard of it, it's on Harbor Way. The easiest way I know of is to take East Dominick street off of Black River Blvd, at the second light, turn right just past Donna's Cafe. Look for it on the left just a little ways up the road. They are open Saturday 9-3 and on Sundays 10-4. This is way better than a regular flea market with all the antique dealers, crafters, vendors and awesome stuff you don't find in regular stores!!!!! I have gone every week since the second week they opened and enjoy checking out what new treasures I can find. They deserve our support if we want Rome to have something new and interesting! You know how it is getting a new business off the ground....Stop by next weekend and browse...you'll be glad you did.

As far as I know of...NOBODY is selling PORNO!!! This is a FAMILY event. You can bring your children and feel safe that they are NOT going to be exposed to that kind of stuff. There is a a blue tent set up inside that has a HUGE selection of DRAGONS, WOLVES, EAGLES, BEARS and MILITARY BALL CAPS of ALL KINDS. Another vendor has tons and tons of books. I saw a Direct T.V. representative, AVON, Candles, just good clean fun and items of all kinds!!!!

Sorry, not interested.

What kind of flea market doesn't sell pornography? Actually I still may go. Any glass pipes and bongs for sale?

I'll have to stop by again, I see. My first visit was quite disappointing; there was far more trash than treasure on display. With the holidays coming up, I'm sure there will be more quality vendors setting up displays....hope to see you there!

I agree there is a lot of trash, but if you have an eye for stuff that is where you find the treasure. My wife was buying FENTON glass for 1 Dollar!!!! Being a Army Veteran I was very pleased to see a vendor that is selling good quality military ball caps. I got an embroidered Gulf War Veteran ball cap for only 10 bucks. A couple of weeks ago I got 24 DVD's, good titles like Independence Day, Rambo lst blood part 2, Interview with a vampire etc for 20 bucks...hey, that's less than a dollar a piece. I really enjoy the Amish family that bring up produce and baked goods on Saturday. The prices are great on that stuff. Depending on the vendor and your eye for stuff you can really make out good there!
was there

It had mostly trash. Same vendors selling stuff you saw at the drive in . Actually the drive in had much much more to offer . I cant even say it was good being inside it was freezing in there,Colder than outside. I hope it would get better but it was a complete waste of time.In and out in 5 minutes!!

Last Saturday I found a action figure, about 15 inches tall dressed as a British Revolutionary 64th Regt of foot. The box was in poor shape but the figure as fine. The following day two elderly woman stopped me and asked if I had seen any revolutionary stuff and I instantly knew what they were looking for. One of them had seen this doll the day before and told the other about it. They were both member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and they were hot for this item. I couldn't help but tell her I bought it the day before and for only $4.00. I also bought a Civil War Centenial plate (1965) that had all the dates and battles on it for $1.00, Bradex exchange collector plates featuring Elvis. There is a large white tent with Diecast cars and he has a couple of New York Yankee cars I want when I get some more cash to spend. He has $60 on them but I'm sure he'll come down if I ask. There is a glass top table with a eagle coming down to it's nest. He has $60 on it and I KNOW tables like that sell for over a hundred bucks. Guess it's to each it's own. Every weekend I stop in I take some time to look at every table and see at least a few items I'd like to have.

I guess it is next to impossible for anyone to have decent, normal conversation without some low life degenerate posting some filthy comments. Please go back under the rock you crawled out from.

I like antique vibrators and cock rings. Not looking to spend too much. Let me know if you see anything down there that could double as one of these items, or an authentic one would be super.
