I've heard the football team was bad, the basketball team is even worse. I watched them last night and I have to say, it was like watching a train wreck. I don't completely blame the kids, the coach is lost out there. Can you show a little bit of emotion??? The plays they ran were very elementary. One kid scored for the wrong team. Also, how about looking like a team? One dude had on pink socks. The uniforms are dingy looking, the orange lettering is all faded and shittt and they don't even fit, some are just drooping off the players. It was senior night last night and I guarantee those seniors were happy as fu(k to be playing their last game.

They played them to a 4 point game a month ago. Bad games happen but realistically this was one of the least talented rfa teams in a while. New Hartford is a very good team...top 10 in state I believe.

I watched #4 Michigan lose by 30 to Michigan state today. I guess they must suck and coach must be clueless. Beilein didn't say a word.as they were getting blown out.

But in all reality....let's call it what it was, a really bad game. Coming off a league championship and losing the senior class....it was obvious this would be a rebuilding year. Let's wait and see what happens next year before we call him the next Swavely. Let's remember....this team won games and some of these kids were part of a team that won a league title. When was the last year we can say that...1970's?

What RFA "athlete" has ever gone pro or even gotten a college scholarship for sports? Rome is full of kids who suck at sports and legends in their own mind. The parents are even worse. You know your kid is mediocre at best

lmao..you are clueless. RFA has produced several pro 'athletes', some who are still playing. There are a small handfull of kids on RFA's sports teams that do give a big effort. My son works very hard every single day to prepare and he's only a freshman. He started working out religiously in 8th grade to prepare for varsity. He's been at the top or near it every year he has played. He hopes to go to a good college and works hard at his grades also. Rumor has it he might be RFA's starting running back this year. I understand that there are MANY kids that shouldn't even have the privilege to be on the team, and the coaching is questionable, but to throw insults and vague false claims without being held accountable for them is ignorant. It does get under my skin when i see kids or coaches that are part of a team, and have no business being there. Especially if my son is on the same team. Nobody wins.

PS...They also award MANY kids each year with athletic scholarships...like I said, voicing your 'opinion', and talking about things you know absolutely nothing about...ignorance

The problem in that game was effort, period. Which for those players, thats a shame. But NH outhustled them from the opening tip. They were faster, played smarter, and played together!! But if you watch youth b-ball in this area, the program should do well for years to come. A good job is being done from 3rd and 4th grade on up, which wasnt the case until recently.

Well if you look at my post the pro athlete and scholarship thing was a question, you know with a question mark at the end. The rest was an opinion which you seemed to agree with. By the way, can you name the kids who went pro? That is another question

Chuck Detwiler played in the NFL in the 70's, Tommy Myz was pro NFL in the 90's and now is head defensive coach for the Jags.Pat Riley played pro basketball in the 60's and 70's he's coached and now he's the team pres for Miami. He has won championships doing all 3. We may not have a lot of pro athletes from this city but it does happen. Those are just a few that I know of.

Yes they are/did. My son is on the team, he's a freshman and never ran track before, and he's going to run in the spring also. He always played baseball that time of year, but he seems to like it and ran with the seniors his first year. Missed their time in the 55 meter by less than one tenth of a second, and still has 3yrs. He's a fast kid, and may be varsity's starting running back this year. I don't know, but he works very hard, he deserves all he gets. I just want him to be safe and happy. COME ON RFA, BRING BACK A GOOD FOOTBALL SEASON!!!!!!

No actually I haven't heard of them, I do not watch hockey. All I did was ask a question and people like you get all offended and start the name calling lol. Typical Rome attitudes.
