Speak up here if you are fed up with Joe Fusco being subsidized by the Roman Cathoilic Church.
Every catholic that belongs to the St Peters and St Mary's Parish is paying his rent!
Sound out now!

Not for nothing but the Ach diocese has received complaints about it or at least people voicing their dis approval. They are not going to do anything about it, and if you expect Father Hearn to do anything is just no going to happen. So unless you got a considerable donation to the church nothing is not going to happen.

Makes you wonder what kind of dirt Gravedigger has on somebody.
Only in this dump can the mayor be a gravedigger and living off the church.
Course the city lost so much population all that's left are what's called the " cousins" factor- all these guidos are married into each others families or something bizarre like that. Everybody is their " cousin". Essentially they all share the same blood- which explains the genetics and more and more are showing up with one eye deformed.

I'm no Fusco fan but why should he lose his subsidy if that's what you call it. If it doesn't interfere with his duties as mayor. There are alot of politicians who own a private business. This would fall under a private business.

Ever heard of the seperaton of church and state. Well you don't think decisions that could effect the church might be a little bit of a conflict of interest at some point? You going to do somethig theat might piss off or effect church business since they are one of your employers when dealing with city business. The churches are not the only property the church has an interest in. Duh..

This is about business not abortion or birth control etc. There are people who own business's and property who donated to his campaign will they get preferential treatment? Don't you think it would be very transparent at this level of gov't if he were to give the church special attention.

No one is talking birth control or abortion. There is other issues dealing with the church and properties that effect the church properties. The one issue is the buy out of properties owned by people in his little group of landlords. Like Zandy who was one of his campain supporters who stabbed others in the back to get him elected. Now she wants the city to buy her out her neglected property so she can profit off it. Yea there is a number of issues that he can effect in his position.

This could be a real good reason why we have an idiot for a mayor. Right now Joe is hoping people in this city are just as complacent as they were in voting when it comes to what is going on with the law suite. Joe and his clonie followers know they did some things that are really questionable. He has been allowed to hire with no checks and balances into bullshit positions to repay his supporters, and as for the council they are so scared of him its laughable. I keep hearing of the rumor he has allowed people to straw buy city owned properties. Some of his friends have been allowed to continue to trash houses after code has been on their ass for years, or his attempt to use grant money to buy campaign supporters houses to get them out from under their slum properties. I have no doubt he made some arrangements with people to get in office, and no doubt he did some under handed dealings with Garrett. Garrett got suckered in just like a lot of other people. Well lets hope they do whatever it takes to get rid of him, and I actually hope Garrett wins his suite and all the dirty laundry and the people involved comes out.

Two things to learn before complaining:

1) Decision effecting those who work for the church do not happen locally. These must be approved through the Bishop in Syracuse since that's the local diocese. People complaining to Father Hearn or about him need to learn that their complaints are falling on deaf ears. The bishop already stated in the Rome Sentinel that Joe Fusco will remain in his position no matter how many complaints are lodged.

2) Lawsuits against city employees or officials are paid out of taxes. The lawyers for those defendants named are paid by taxpayers and any judgements are paid by the taxpayers. Suing the mayor or any city official results in higher taxes for everyone. In order to effect the pocketbook of an official you would need to sue them for something unrelated to civic duties or disputes resulting for those performances, otherwise the bills are paid out of city coffers.

You can sue the mayor or police or whoever, but the results are higher taxes.
