and that's a good thing I think. a bustling night life is good for the economy and gives people an outlet. the cops need to slack up a bit or they will shut it down

Last time i went on Broad Street after dark i was accosted (and handled!) by an uncouth drunk old man right on the sidewalk in front of the Brewhause.
I was merely walking by with my son and some friends, we weren't drinking. Just walking by. Grabbed and pawed on by an old drunk guy!
There was a city police officer inside and he was staring out the wondow, but couldn't be bothered to get up and cone see why i was screaming.
My son wrested me from the drunken slob and we headed straight back to the car and left.
Never again.

In all seriousness, the local government would not allow Brewhause to make their own beer, you know set up a micro brewery. This speaks volumes of where we are as a city.
Look at the Moon River Brewpub in Savannah or the Cannon Brewpub in Columbus, the Macon Beer Company in Macon, etc
Also having to "fence off" the outside eating/ drinking area's on the sidewalk, really??
Rome is lagging way behind other Georgia cities and hindering those who want to help us catch up.

As long as the bikers stay out huh? Ask any owner, waitress, manager who they like to see come in the bars and grills in those cities. They will tell you bikers. Bikers spend money and tip good. Heck...most of them are riding bikes that cost more than most people make in a year. They bring crowds with them and they bring money. They don't mind sharing it. The Freedom Seekers donate more to the homeless shelters in Rome in a year than probably all you posting put together have ever donated. They work for Toys for Tots, cancer, kids, not to mention all the people they help out that just need help with medical bills. They to more to provide for people of the community than most of you will ever do.
Support your local Freedom Seekers!
