I'm confused. What were they doing that made the cops involved? From what I understood they were all just sitting around watching a football game & drinking, of course.. Duh. But we're they being too loud? Running down the street naked? I don't get it.

We should just be thankful that they're learning early that there are no consequences to their actions. The American Way.

I don't understand what satisfaction you get from talking about these kids.

Some families do not need government intervention to get misguided teens back in line. Good cops understand family values and know that mom and dad have the best influence. I doubt you will have a badge long.

Yeah well I'm sure mom an dad didn't punish these kids either! They probably helped them get out of trouble! It's a shame how rockmart is

It sounds as though you hate Rockmart because of people like yourself. Rockmart is growing and there has been a lot of bad coming in but there are still families here that have good old country values. Kids and teens have been in and out of trouble for decades. It will happen here and everywhere else. The ones that get off scot free wind up paying the price later in life. I hope your wrong about their parents not taking care of this.

My daughter was one of the teens at the party. She made a very poor decision to drink alcohol at that party and is ashamed of her poor choice. She was fined $200, which she had to repay with her own money. She had to perform 40 hours of community service. She was required to attend a counseling session with a professional counselor at her own expense. She has suffered embarrassment and humiliation from peers and the condemnation of strangers on Topix. We have had many discussions about the dangers of underage drinking, and I believe she has learned a very valuable lesson from all of this.I hope this answers some of your questions.
And I dread the day when Justice gets his badge.

What community service were they required to do?

There was a wide variety of options for service hours as this was a requirement of RHS. My daughter served most of hers working as a tutor in the afterschool program at Eastside Elementary.
