I think that in the private sector the potential employer must place image high up on his list for a good employee. When people are to great the people who are going to give him money he must hire the proper people for the clientel he is trying to reach. For instance in a biker bar he might be looking for people who can relate to his customers. A lady in furs and high heels might not be the route that he wants to go. A private business is just that. If you do not want to go there don't go. If enough people make that choice then the employer will change his hiring habits or go out of business.

On another note to "Fast Freddy". We will have to pay little attention to you, as you have the threatened the welfare of a couple of people right on this site. I did find it interesting that you tried to stop potential problems from occuring between 2 others on this site. Your stances make no sense and your intolerance the opinions of others makes me quite ill. Good luck with your legal case and I do hope that you grow up.

I have tattoos and if you met me, you would never know it. Would you treat me different after finding out I had them? Or would you continue you treat me the same as before you found out?

From what I have read it is the outward appearance that might turn of potential customers that presents a problem. It is not the fact that a person chooses to decorate their body for their amusement and the amusement of those close to them.

For a good portion of those posting, you are correct, but there are a few who have been flat out ugly when stating their views on tats, regardless of where they are on a person or whether they can be seen or not.

A couple of people have even come right out and said...not implied...that, in their opinion, people who have tats are of lower intelligence, nasty and no good. I'd like for someone to say that to my 80 yr old mother who has a very very small heart tattoed on the back of her shoulder with my father's and her initials under it. She's had the tat for 40 years now and it's still pretty. She got it on their 20th wedding anniversary while they were stationed in Hawaii. My father has a number of tats from his Navy days, and he has a special one that has all 5 of us kids names included in it.

I know just what u mean I have 2 tattoos one on each arm but when I have shirts on u can not see them so u would think that I did not have any tattoos on me. And my tattoos are not ugly ones either

I'm amazed at how a parent is judged for hers but she is far from skanky or trashy! Some are very artistic! But I will say having your name on your neck screams trash. Js

Maybe you should learn proper grammar. It's "ARE all three....", not "Is".

Not that it's any of your business, but all three of my children are by the SAME father, a man to whom I've been married to for 33 years.

No, I do not have any tattoos, but that doesn't mean I won't ever get one or more.

Have a good day nosy one.....

Ansley, the inability to accept others for their personal choices and to see past someone's exterior is an even greater indication of mental problems. Additionally, your poor syntax and simple minded comments do not lend any substance to your posting.

Shows how much you know turd-face. I have a number of tats and the only person I've ever been with is my husband of 31 years, and believe me we BOTH give each other plenty of attention!

It kills me how many of you people lump others who are different into the same category. All you do is show your utter stupidity.
