It does make sense. Maybe you should go back to elementary school. However if need be, I can explain it more on a level that you will understand if I need to.

What I hear is the Jail Administrator is called the Colonel instead of Captain. That is actually HIGHER in rank than the Chief Deputy which is crazy. I don't know who ranked these people but that is utterly ridiculous. And if you pay these people according to rank then the jail administrator is making more than the Chief Deputy now. Doesn't sound smart to me. BUT that's just What I Hear.

Well, I am a little confused again about something that went on with the campaign and wondered if someone could answer my question. During the campaign, we constantly heard JM say that if he got in office, the Sheriff's Office would only do "civil" work, not "criminal". AND they weren't going to do traffic, so no need for the radars that were in the cars. That being said, why was one of the deputies' cars, the officer that had wrecked his vehicle shorty after the new administration took over, why did he have someone pulled over for traffic, today, right before the Paulding County line? IF they indeed aren't doing traffic? Remember, the S.O. only was going to do civil work, no traffic or criminal work. Just asking? Unless JM has totally changed EVERYTHING he said in his campaign, which I feel is probably true since as I have read in above statements, his administration is using county vehicles to transport their children and family members around on county tax payers dime. DID WE VOTE FOR THE WRONG MAN POLK COUNTY?

I didn't ever hear JM say he was only going to do civil, I heard him say the primary job for them was civil. They do get warrants that have to be served. Unless you was in the car that was stopped, you really have no idea why they was stopped. What if it was someone that had been avoiding being served a paper? Have you ever heard the saying "DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR AND ONLY HALF OF WHAT YOU SEE"

if nosy people of Polk Co would worry more about what they should be doing rather than what everyone else is doing it would be a much better place. Those Polk Co signs need to be changed from "where Folks are friendly" to "where folks are nosy"

There are other reasons to stop than traffic. Could it be that there may have been a warrant for someone who was thought to be in that car? You know how many people get stopped for a tag light being out just so that the LEO can see who is in the car or what they might be up to?

Not everyone that was kept is dirty. There are some good people that work out there. Don't paint everyone with the same broad brush. That just oozes ignorance.

If you never heard him say that then you never went to the campaign debates. At the debates, he stated that the Sheriff's Office's duties were to preform civil duties not criminal. He thought what KM's deputies were doing were duplicate services so he would putting a stop to all of that. The S.O. isn't suppose to run radar or do drug task force because those are criminal. So, with that being said, if you never heard him say that then you must have never went to one campaign debate. It has nothing to do with being nosy, but everything to do with being informed. And this is a public forum. I didn't see people talking about how it was being nosey when people were butting in when KM was in office. Only now when people are talking about the new administration. Fair is Fair. If you want to talk about one without it being "nosey" then you should be able to talk about another one without it being "nosey".:o)

I neg your pardon but I did attend 2 of the debates and as you stayed above, all I heard him say was what the Sheriffs Office duties were. I believe in giving the man a chance. He can't take office and make all the changes he would like to make over night. Seriously he's not been in office a full 3 months yet. Lets give him some time. Same as KM couldn't make all his changes as once either. What hurt KM was putting things in writing for changed but not upholding that policy once it was in place. I believe after Moats has some time, he will make all the changes he said but again who can expect it to happen that fast? It sure didn't happen that fast with KM, hell who am I kidding? Did any of his changes actually stick?

The ones who actually were talking about KM's administration are the one's who are the hypocrites. They can't stand it that there are actually people who get on these forums and ask questions or take a stand against what JM said in his campaign. They are asking why isn't he doing what he said he was going to do. OR why is he doing what he said he WASN'T going to do? I think that they thought when or if he got in office that things would die down and nobody would say anything. THINK AGAIN! People, concerned voters, taxpayers, whatever you want to call them, are going to watch this administration just like the past administration was watched and they will scrutinize them just as much. I think it's only fair that they are watched closely and monitored for their actions just as KM was. Voters and taxpayers deserve to know what's going on. It's highly unlikely that JM and his crew will tell them or that the reporter lady will tell them. hee hee

I hear that the former sheriff lost. Get Over It. If JM investigates and fires people for getting online and using their 1st amendment rights to point out stupid crap going on at the department, then I will vote against him.
If he intimidates business owners because they put a candidate's poster in their window, I'll vote against him.
If he obtains subpoenas to identify internet commentors in a BS case, I'll vote against him.
If he puts tracking devices on a deputy's car b/c he has a grudge, I'll vote against him.
If he allows a deputy who is a single father to run his kid to a sports practice in his patrol car, I'll overlook it.
