We nee to support our local theatre - I ain't about giving to these big theatre companies who do nothing for the community. Keep it local!

They offered movies during Fall break to help two different charities and now have something else going on.

I'm glad they are helping the community with these food drives and I don't mind helping out at all with something like that. In fact, I have. However, when it comes to purchasing a ticket and going there to watch a movie....I will not do that again. The last time I went there recently, sat close to the doors at the back and the employees was standing there carrying on a conversation and laughing so much that it was interrupting the movie. Not to mention the movie playing next door was so loud you could hear it in the theatre side where I was. For a good cause, I'd be happy to but I refuse to give my money to people that obviously have no respect.

The same people own Pink Sugar, a retail store on Main Street in Cedartown, as well as a Construction Company also headquartered in Cedartown. They own the building. They also own other personal property and reside in Polk County. They hire and pay local employees, pay City and County Taxes, attend County and City Commission meetings as advocates for the smnall business owners in the County, are fee-paying participants in the Polk and Cedartown Chamber of Commerce(s),participate in charitable events with their money and their personal and business time, sponsor the schools with advertising the schools sell, and are smart, particpatory Business Professionals. They also shop and spend their money LOCALLY with other businesses in the County. In short, they put their money where their mouth is.

All of the foregoing information is gleaned from websites (Chamber sites), local newspapers and articles, and minutes from Commission meetings.

You're right but not so much as to where you can't enjoy the movie you're watching. I told someone and I heard others saying they were were going to complain as well.

Well they sold or are selling back to the original owners. Since "Obama was re-reflected". What BS!

It's not really funny that business owners are faced with closing their doors - that place was barely busy but the thought of it closing got peeps' attention! Are they busier now?

I'm glad the west cinema is still open but haft to admit i hadn't been there to see a movie in years, it's easier and cheaper for me to watch movies on DVD's at home.

I haven't been so I don't know if they are busier or not. They did sell it back to the original owner so apparently Mr. Browning wasn't too worried about the supposed "lack of business".
