i am also against male gynos looking at my wife. it is a matter of respect. not so much jealous as i am offended by the idea or practice. i would love to see all women switch to female doctors for this kind of exam. while im at it i am also against cocky med students pushing themselves onto couples and literally sticking their nose where it doesnt belong. take my advice ms04 and stay out of the ob ward, the husbands and probably the wives do not want you there.
I agree, it's about respect and boundaries. There are so many female ob's around now, at least where we live, i dont know how a woman would find a male gynecologist. Though i do realize its differant in other parts of the country.

Good point Robert. Does anyone think a female doctor Is going to anything unlawful to a male patient ? NO. Why would a female lesbian doctor do anything unlawful to a female patient? At the end of the day their both woman. Males have testosterone which makes them predatory. Woman only have a little, very little.

<quoted text> Things are changing thanks to woman ob's, the bimanual exam is not done anymore for asymptomatic patients. The woman's ovaries etc can't be felt this way, never could be. Why the did male gynecologist do this exam for 100 years, saying they were checking for ovarian cancer when they couldnt even feel the ovaries
Are you saying that female OB/GYN's do not do bimanual exams? Please educate yourself slick.

Do you just make crap up? Please explain these female teachers that are "predatory" towards 15yo boys.

I think you just ponder something long enough, and somehow convince yourself it must be true.

The new guidelines have eliminated the bimanual check of ovaries etc for cancer because it can't be detected this way, never could. But the male docs kept doing them anyways. Ace, read up educate yourself. Read the new guidelines which started in 2012.

Men commit 99% of all violent crime, which rape and sexual assault is. Show me one case where a woman doctor has sexually assaulted a patient. Obgyn Bruce Smith was just convicted (01/18/13) of raping one of his pregnant patients while her legs were in the stirrups during a pelvic exam. He's accused of raping two other PATIENTS.

Do you think a straight female doctor is going to sexually assault a male patient ?

I'm sure Rome Ga probably has a lot more female obgyn's now then they did when this forum first started. I know where I'm living it's very rare to see a male obgyn listed along with the other female ob's. If they are it's usually in an administrative role since most senior ob's are male. What has happened is a "correction in the market." supply and demand it's the American way. There was a demand for more female ob's, the demand has been and is being met. I realize that some parts of the country are still catching up and soon they will.

Oh my!The doctor isn't a woman! The insanity of it all!Quit belly-aching and use the doctors that are evailable. You can't dictate who practices medicine and you can't dictate to groups about who they hire.If you think there is such a problem,go to medical school and become an OBGYN yourself.
Cindy987 you are very narrow-minded and a hater. You try to cover it up but you hate gays because you are too stupid to understand it.God will burn you for your judgement of others.Read your Bible and they PRAY for yourself!!!!!!
You can't dictate who practices medicine and you can't dictate to groups who they hire. You can dictate who you'll see and don't see. A PRIVATE practice can hire anyone they want. If they choose to hire only woman doctors, so be it. Like you said, "you can't dictate to groups who they hire." Some Private practices are only hiring woman. It's like the boy scouts won't allow gays to join (I don't agree with it) however since they are a private organization they can't be forced by anyone to allow gays in. This is just an example.

On march 30 2013, you told Fred, "And discrimination is against the law," regarding an all female obgyn clinic. Does that help refresh your recollection ?
