True Christians are there to worship...not to judge...RIGHT?

Gay Christians are there to worship...not to worry about how others feel about them...RIGHT?

Actually, someone wrote in the paper this past week that we should all BOYCOTT McDonald's because in California they sponsored some sort of gay event.

I have nothing against someone being gay, it is their business. If they try and force themselves on me...I have a problem with that...but then I feel the same way about Amway salespeople too.

Nothing should be forced on anyone regardless of whether it is sex, religion, lifestyle, or social standing.

There is a lot of things the Bible says we shouldn't do that are done everyday,so why point out only one and say they are the ones that should not be allowed to hold any office?

Hmmmm...yes gays should be allowed to attend church. But the Bible CLEARLY states that living out a homosexual lifestyle is wrong. If someone is clearly seeking God, whether they be a homosexual, glutton, thief, or whatever sin you can think of, God will convict their heart. Christians rail against drunkenness and homosexuality and turn a blind eye to gluttonous behavior. But as far as church attendance, by all means! gays should go!

Could you quote the scripture with where you found it. How do you know the scriptures address homosexuality?

QUOTE THE SCRIPTURE.

Okay, since you don't want to find them yourself.

Lev. 20:13 If a man has sexual intercourse with a male as one has sexual intercourse with a woman,25 the two of them have committed an abomination.

Romans 1:26 For this reason God gave them over to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged the natural sexual relations for unnatural ones,54 1:27 and likewise the men also abandoned natural relations with women55 and were inflamed in their passions56 for one another. Men57 committed shameless acts with men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

1 Tim. 1:8 But we know that the law is good if someone uses it legitimately, 1:9 realizing that law11 is not intended for a righteous person, but for lawless and rebellious people, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, 1:10 sexually immoral people, practicing homosexuals,12 kidnappers, liars, perjurers – in fact, for any who live contrary to sound teaching.

These are the ones I found in about 5 min. of looking. But there are many more scriptures that talk about the love of Christ and His redemption. Check those out too!

"For ANY who live contrary to SOUND teaching."This does not mean only homosexuals.Any person that does not live by God rules is subject to abomination. So he who is with out sin, cast the first stone.God did not intent for us to do His judgment, the final trial of human race.

That was my comment earlier. Many times Christians attack behavior they don't understand, like homosexuality, but skip over things like gluttony. But you also stated, "God did not intend for us to do His judgment." Yes, we don't condemn to hell...that is God's job. But we aren't allowed to put up with unrepentant sin in the church...among Christians. Here is my reference:

1 Cor. 5:1 It is actually reported that sexual immorality exists among you, the kind of immorality that is not permitted even among the Gentiles, so that someone is cohabiting with1 his father’s wife. 5:2 And you are proud!2 Shouldn’t you have been deeply sorrowful instead and removed the one who did this3 from among you? 5:3 For even though I am absent physically,4 I am present in spirit. And I have already judged the one who did this, just as though I were present.5 5:4 When you gather together in the name of our Lord Jesus,6 and I am with you in spirit,7 along with the power of our Lord Jesus, 5:5 turn this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved8 in the day of the Lord.

Keep reading...."so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord." The purpose is to discipline to bring the offender back into right relationship with God. It is a rescue mission. God offers forgiveness and salvation from hell. God IS love (that is in 1 John). I can trust my perfect God. He is the very definition of what love is. He can woo the homosexual, the glutton, the cheater, the thief, the self-righteous to himself. The Bible is full of such verses. In Hebrews 6, I believe, it says "The Lord disciplines whom He loves." Just like I train/discipline my children when they need it because I LOVE them. You cannot be a Christian and expect to just do what you want if it is contrary to God's law. And we can trust God's law because He is LOVE.

What you are saying is true and the quotes are there, but what I am trying to get you to see is that everyone sins, but everyone seems to point out homosexuals more and why is that?Yes it is wrong in the eyes of God,but there are worse things than being gay. But you don't hear it all the time, cause there are so many people trying to hide that they don't want some things brought up so maybe they won't be found out.Gays have as much a right to attend their church of choice as anyone else. But they didn't ask if people committing adultery could attend church because a lot of them are there.

Been busy and didn't find the time to reply...

There is a reference in the New Testament (Please don't make me look it up...I wouldn't lie, I'm just too tired right now) that says that sexual sins are in a sense worse because you sin in you body, which is the temple of God. But Jesus died on the cross for ALL sins, the homosexual and the self-righteous. I know for a fact that in my church there was a couple living together and they were asked to separate if they wanted to still come to church. So yes, it is done.

So isn't drinking, over eating, smoking, and drugs all sins of the body? Are they asked to stop such acts if they want to continue attending the church?

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Libra

Don't put yourself through anything that isn't absolutely necessary, Libra. After all, why cook when others will gladly serve you at their house, or treat you to a wonderful meal at your favourite restaurant? Even when you assert yourself, there seems to be a wonderfully passive quality to your manner. Now that the universe has finally decided to give you some of what you want, make sure your wish list is short and don't be greedy.
