In a perfect world, it would land on YOU, because after you tossed it, your foot would slip, you would fall, and being heavier, you'd land a few seconds before it.

And if you took any science class you'd know that objects drop at the same rate so he'd fall after the cat.

Oh i would't make that mistake of slipping.

But I heard that cats can prepare themselves to land on their feet when they are thrown from a 7 story building because they have time to adjust and ready for the impact.

Plus, I'm a cat, right? We're not known for our fine grasp of physics. In a perfect world, you would land first, the cat would land safely on top of you (on his feet), and walk away nonchalantly while a pack of wild dogs devoured whatever bits were left of you, you evil cat-tosser!

Well, In *my* idea of a perfect world, people who toss cats off buildings get hit with instant karma. But thanks for the physics lesson. Now I know.

Probably not!

The trajectory and wind factors would probably force the cat to slam it's head into the corners, projections and side of the building before it hits the ground.

In fact, most of the cat would probably be smeared along the side of the building and very multiple pieces cat may reach the ground.

Let us know how it goes if can find a cat to figure out the results. I'm assuming you live in Rolla Towers?

actually the cat would fall much slower because of air resistance. Thus the man would land first. But this still is no problem because the terminal velocity of a cat can not be reached by the cat.
just sayin..

It depends on the age and the health of your cat.

If your cat is in good form, the worst thing that can happen to it is that it will break its legs.

Don't threw from that high. Try a lower level first.
