You should try redbull. It has nutritional facts instead of supplement facts. It makes a difference.

But if they got a job then they wouldn't be able suck off government funds and take it from people who really needs them.

I wish I could be a welfare bum and buy things I don't need.. Here's a thought: go to bed earlier and then you'll have energy :)

I think it's ok to buy energy drinks, since coffee would be covered by EBT. The only way to prevent this sort of misconstrued payment is to simply give two Military Meals (MRE) per recipient per day. Nutritious, but not palatable after a few weeks.

There are some people that do work full time jobs, good jobs I might add that still receive some assistance. Just sayin.

Umm just an FYI I work in the hospital, not in housekeeping or dietary either not that those aren't vital occupations because they are, anyway I have food stamps. I went to college, I am continuing my education still and I have a career. So tell me again why I don't need assistance with "my good job"? Granted there are some people that are completely capable of working that don't. They are the ones giving the bad rep to the assistance programs but I am someone that works that still needs that little extra something. I look at it this way, I work 40+ hours a week. The taxes that are taken from my paycheck go toward providing food stamps, HUD, Medicaid, and TANF. So technically I am providing my own food. Don't be so quick to judge.

I can judge whomever I please. Especially when they steal my money to pay for food for themselves and the children they couldn't afford to make. If you work 40 hours a week, and we know you make at least minimum wage, that should be plenty. Don't come to me begging for food at the end of a gun and expect gratitude for your poor decision-making skills.

If you qualify for food stamps, you aren't paying for them. Let me disillusion you of that right away. I'm paying for it.

Easy solution, buy someone's groceries with your ebt card and then have them pay you for the groceries with cash, then go buy a bunch of monsters and drugs and party like a rock star! Then when it comes time to feed your family go steal some stereos and pawn them so you can buy a value pack of ramen noodles. It's the perfect plan, works everytime.
You got to be kidding

I worked at Walmart for several years and you would not believe the number of people who waste their EBT money on stupid things like name brand items, cookies, and other crap food and not the necessaties. The sad thing is their families were probably eating better than mine and I have a job. It's sad when people with assistance are buying all name brand items clearly not on a budget and I'm trying to find the cheapest deal on bread! Are you seriously made that someone won't take your EBT card for an energy drink? Why should they that is not a necessity and sometimes normal people can't buy a soda cause they don't have money same concept. Plus not only are my tax payers dollars paying for your stupid energy drink, than I have to pay for your medical care when you have a heart attack. So how about this maybe instead of being on topix complaining about your EBT card, you find a job and learn to budget your money like the rest of us. Maybe the government should hand out less money and do more to teach people how to budget and a little work ethic.

I know people on ebt eat better then my family. I worked for Schwans as delivery driver and I had a lot of people that bought Schwans food with ebt.... Steaks, shrimp, ice cream... All the good stuff. And at the end of the day when we punch in there card numbers and submit the transaction we could see what there remaining balance was and most of them still had several hundred dollars left after spending 150-200 on Schwans food....

So tell me, how are you paying for it and I am not? Does my pay check not get taxed? Does my check have a specific stamp on it that says, "oh not this person gets food stamps, don't tax her check." No, no it doesn't. You do not know my situation so don't tell me about any of my decisions that I have made. I have never begged for anything. I work hard and just needed a little bit of help as do most people. I wasn't aware we were being graced by the words of perfection.

It is PATHETIC!! Good thing I am not in charge, because I would not allow any soda, sweets, premade or ready to serve foods. The ones that don't work have all day to make beans and homemade foods, but they are too LAZY and most don't know how to cook, but they sure know how to screw and reproduce! Sad thing is, they eat better than working people. It is SICKENING! These people obviously have NO PRIDE!!
