The new Hardee's restaurant commercial for the pattymelt burger is nothing more than porn.
As a Christian, I refuse to support this. I will not do business with Hardee's any longer.
It is degrading to women and it is using blatant sex/porn to sell their product.
Christians, this is something we can actually do something about, our voice counts. I am doing my best to help my sons remain sexually pure until marriage and commercials like this do nothing but plant the seed for lust. And this affects all of you parents with teenage daughters.
If you feel the same way please call the Guest Response line and tell them you have a complaint about this commercial.
The number is 877-799-7827.
Have your pastors relate this concern so that everyone in your area can let their voice be heard and hopefully make a difference and get this commercial off of the air.
Christian men, please call this number and complain - that will have even more impact.
So please call your local Hardee's and tell the manager that you will no longer do business there and why. Maybe this will let the owner know that their pocket book will be affected until they remove their filth from the tv.

The corporate address is:

Hardee's Food Service, Inc.
100 N. Broadway Ste. 1200
St. Louis, MO 63102

Please look on the hardees.com website and get the names of the management team and board of directors and write to them.
My letter to each one of them will go out on tuesday...

I agree with the first person - these commercial are terrible!!! What does having a blonde rolling over and hauched down with her butt up in the air have to do with a Patty Melt??? Looks like Hardee's will do ANYTHING to sell a burger. I won't be buying one!!!

It's no different from the DQ commercials advertising the waffle cone, where the ice cream (she) asks to borrow chocolate syrup from the waffle cone (he). He asks what she is going to do with it and she answers, "Pour it all over my body."

Not really want I want my kids watching and asking me questions about but TV is saturated with sex these days.

I do not watch very much tv, I have not seen the DQ commercial, if Christians would all call these companies and complain it will help - if each of us call, and support them by buying there products it would make a difference.

If you really don't want your kids to see stuff like this - call the company and let your voice be heard.

I truly believe that we will be accountable to God for neglecting to do anything about things that grieve Him and oppose His Word.

We can actually do something about things like this, but we all have to do our part...

Hardees Angus beef burgers are among the best in the fastfood industry; however,
their recent TV commercial "Schooled" is definitely the most tasteless
commercial presently airing. In the past, if I wanted an excellent burger I
would go to Hardees. Now, I am disgusted when I am forced to associate a
Hardees' burger with an attractive female viewed only as a sexual object.
Where have our values gone? Surely, Hardees' commercial writers can raise their
present image out of the gutters by being creative in ways that are appropriate
for children and families. After watching the "Schooled" commercial, it is evident that Hardees will go to any length to sell their food products. It's a real shame because their burgers were selling themselves!
As a Christian man, I strongly object to this manner of public advertising. It offends me personally and it offends my God.

that commercial is tame compared to the majority of whats on TV. This ad campaign is targeted for young males and it is quite successful. And complaining about it only makes Hardees stronger. When will you protesters learn that your protests and boycotts only make companies like this stronger.

I'm eating lunch at Hardees today just because of you

"When will you protesters learn that your protests and boycotts only make companies like this stronger."
Check out the American Family Association, and ask Ford Motor Company what a boycott is doing to THEM. Ask how their sales have dropped since they continue to support a lifestyle that is an abomination to God. Plants are closing, dealerships are closing, and countless numbers of men and women are losing their jobs.
The young males of today will become the fathers then the older men of tomorrow. Do you want this for your children.
All Christians, check out AFA and OneMillionMoms and OneMillionDads and let your voice be heard.
I will not be patronizing Hardee's again unless they pull these offensive ads.

This is amazing, I'm in Houston where there are no Hardees and I now have seen this commercial. Why, because of everyone making it into a big deal. I am Christian and I'm not offended. I'm also a father with a daughter. I do not disagree with the fact that the commercial is racy but it is no worse than anything else that is out there. If one feels the need to get upset at this and attack just this one company than you are ignorant. If you want to see reform in this country then one must stop and examine the real roots of the problems. I guarantee you that commercials such as these are not the underlying cause of our societiesí decay; itís the lack of good parenting, and a failure to teach self control and instill good morals; not silly commercials.

I'm really starting to hate the weak, spineless and lazy parents in this country, especially the so called "Christian" ones. It's called freedom of expression, get a clue.

If you object to something on the T.V and want to avoid the programming or in this case boycott the advertiser, fine. But quit trying to preserve your system of T.V babysitting by attempting to make a stupid, forgettable commercial into something culture-breaking.

Subject: Hardees' Ad Has Been Pulled
Dear Brenda:
Good news. The local Hardeeís group has decided to pull the offensive ad. It will no longer be running locally on any Nashville TV station as of last night.
Could you please inform American Family Association that they no longer need to send e-mails to the Nashville TV stations.

That patty melt commercial is offensive and wrong, but I disagree with enoughisenough as to why it is. Why did it take so long for people to react to it, and for Hardees to pull it?

I am so glad to see this about Hardees. I live in a small town area near Peoria, Illinois. Several Burger Kings have gone out of business here, I hope because of them sponsoring smut. Now here we have Hardees actually PROMOTING smut in its commercials. And they do NOT listen to the American Family Association and others. Let's put them out of business!

Elloell and Ben: Granted, many parents today are lax in taking steps to control the elements to which their children are exposed, that does NOT however excuse advertisers and others from being accountable for their message. The restaurant chain "Sambo's" was effectively run out of business because of the assertion that they were marketing based on racism. Those of you saying that exploiting a sexual drive to sell a product is acceptable; how would your opinion change if it were instead a racial stereotype. While racial bias was once acceptable in this country, people expressing their opinion has forced a change in attitude. I hope one day the same can be said for the use of blatant objectification. The best way to show a company you disagree with their approach or policies is to vote with your pocketbook and encourage others to do likewise. The argument that it is "no worse that other images portrayed on TV" is a cop out... one can ALWAYS find "something worse". It should not be our goal as a company, an individual, or a society to be mildly better than the worst possible alternative but rather to be the best we can be.

Hardee's ad campaign is horrible. Not because of the sexual innuendo, but because they just don't get it. What demographic wants to see
a) a pregnant woman sloppily eating a large hamburger
b) another sloppy eating by a young man sitting in a truck/jeep (the hula girl)
c) An obvious racial pun with a mexican-american and a "cowboy"

My answer...no one with any brains. These commercials are not only dis-tasteful, but they are downright disgusting. I may only eat fast food about 2-3 times a month, but I will not be spending a dime on that trash at Hardees...

The Hardee's "Hula Girl" commercial is nasty both in words & sounds, and while moving through the commercial it quickly becomes vulgar. Offensive to me, yes, however it may be acceptable to others. So I change the channel. Sex can sell anything...including fast food that isn't worth eating.

If the commercial bothers you that much then close your eyes when it airs.

Commercial advertising is designed to either make you want the product or to gain you attention and increase brand recognition. It looks like the firm that did the Hardees commercial pokes a sharp stob in the eye of some folks....in either case....everyone is talking about Hardees....so....the commercial worked...
