You ever notice how Democrats keep people poor by paying them to be poor and not work? The more poor people, the more votes and power.

If Republicans are the party of the rich, and Democrats are the party of the poor as libs claim, then it stands to follow that Republicans should be trying to make more people rich and the goal of Democrats should be to make more people poor. Which ever party is more success gets more votes and power.

It not the already poor that the problem, it's the shrinking middle class that are becoming poor that the problem. When republican policies are in effect, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

BTW I am a democrat that has never received government assistance. Never had food stamps, WIC, HUD, TANIF or any other "handout" so I have not been paid for my vote. I am one of the struggling middle class who pays a small fortune to keep my family in health insurance.

Sounds like you are one of the suckers. No repayment for your vote. You can call it 'shrinking middle class' or whatever makes you feel good. That puts a real smiley face on the Fact that Democrats are sticking people on permanent govt assistance to buy votes. The more they sink this economy, the more power for them. Obama is succeeding.

If I recall, it was Bill Clinton, a democrat, that overhauled welfare and put term limits on it. Nobody is putting anyone on permanent government assistance. Typically, the person on it permanently has put themselves there. Yes, there are people who genuinely need it and for them, it should be available. Many of the middle class are one tragedy from needing it also.

Studies have shown overwhelmingly that since Bush's tax cuts, the disparity between the poor and the rich have grown. That means that the middle class is shrinking. It's no longer an America where you can just exists comfortably, you either fight to get rich or stay poor.

You say they'll get more power if they sink this economy? How is that? What power is there in being broke? Who really wants to send America to the dumpster? What good would it do? That's like cutting your own dang throat? Nobody is out to do that, but until republican policies are dropped, that's exactly what's going to happen.

Everybody blames the president like he has any real control. Its congress with all the power and its no coincidence that while the republicans are in control of congress, this country has got worse. If they would stop screwing around with 40 years of wheel spinning over abortion and get to real issues, may this country would stand a chance with them. Until then, my vote will mostly be democratic.

The only thing I ask you to explain is if it's all Bush's fault, why then, when Obama was elected into office and the Democrats controlled BOTH house of congress, why didn't they do some thing about it? They had all the power, all the control, and could have done anything they wanted, so what happened?

You've had four years and what to show? A health care bill that has raped Medicare and caused premiums to go up? The only positive thing I have seen from the White House is the termination of Usama bin Laden and all that took was a decision to go because the military and CIA were the ones who did everything else. Obama knew enough to step aside and left the real Leaders work this issue. MEven then he didn't really have a choice as had he said no and the word got out we knew where UBL was and didn't do anything about it, he would have been fried, so he. chose the only option he had open. That was a give me.

Quit whining, except responsibility, then get out of the way and let the real Leaders handle things.

He vetoed it twice. Republicans ran on welfare reform in the contract with America. Clinton finally signed it because he wanted to get reelected.

Stop embarrassing yourself.

I remember how liberals were having a conniption fit at the time of welfare reform. But the people spoke and Clinton folded.

no point talking politics with people from Rolla. So many of them are on welfare, yet still act as if others are draining resources from the system. I'm sure plenty of the residents enjoy their medicare. But for some reason, people think they are going to be rich one day, so they vote Republican. Obama has cut taxes for basically everyone in Rolla's economic demographic.

Uh, check the gas pump price. Check the food store prices. Prices have skyrocketed under Obama. Money printing has consequences.

Check out national debt that we all get to pay back. Check our banking costs that have gone up. Check the fiscal cliff where taxes go up. Check the economy that Obama has killed. Check the unemployment rate that is rivaled only by the great depression. Check the pensions of non-union auto workers. Check the car dealerships that voted Republican and were closed down when the government took over many of the auto industries.

But that's right, blame the idiots in Rolla for not understanding his brilliance.

If you think the president has a role in gas prices, you are wrong.

You realize that Bush was spending us into oblivion, right? You realize Bush presided over the beginning of the economic crisis? The economy was already in the shitter when Obama took over (you remember during the election, this is when McCain started dropping heavily in the polls). You realize the TARP and the autobailout was under Bush, right?

"Check the car dealerships that voted Republican and were closed down when the government took over many of the auto industries."

I'd like to see a source for that.

I never wrong. If you put twice as many dollars into circulation, the price of gas doubles because the supply of gas stays the same. Very basic economics.

5+ trillion in debt under Obama. 400% increase in the deficit under Obama. Check the national debt numbers. It's not even close.

You right that Bush has some blame. But Obama made things SO much worse.

The president has no direct control on gas prices. Gas prices were high under Bush too.

What I really love are the republicans that deny that there ever was a surplus under democrat reign. Of course if there really was no surplus, I guess Bush gave away money we didn't even have.

Yup, that's where it all started. Bush started giving away money and cutting taxes. That's like quitting my job and giving away all of my retirement savings away and then wonder why the heck I'm broke.

That's a republican for ya.

Do you agree we should cut spending till it meets the income? Then cut taxes and cut spending at same rate ,,,till our government becomes a lean mean stay out of our business machine,,,,, this is a recipe for a strong country !!!!! If you don't work you don't eat ,,, unless some hard workin person wants to help you,,,, unlike the democrats,,,,workin folks can tell the difference between a lazy person and needy person!!!

Kills, Jill, Hum, or whatever name you are using to play with yourself. The GOP has worked to block any Obama proposal including ones they introduced once he supported it. The GOP have stated on record their goal is to get him out of office even if it meant keeping the economy weak and unemployment high until the 2012 election. List any thing the GOP has done to improve employment or the economy in the past twenty years. Either you are a dumb ass or you are a local GOP office holder or staffer. You quote questionable on line resources like a student or recent graduate living off parents money or still living with them. Make a statement that is your own showing a higher level of
synthesis of thoughts and not some phrases you have heard and are repeating. You are starting to sound like Hank Jr. can't give a rational reason for what you say is wrong, all you can say is "it's Obama's fault". Why don't you stick to living off your daddy's name and singing about your old drinking drugging days and how a country boy with never a serious want can survive. Just respond using any of your fake names.

Let's see. For the past 4 years it's been Bush's fault. Exactly when does it become Obamas fault? When does Obama start accepting responsibility for his actions?(BTW - that's what a true leader does). When he was first elected he owned both houses of congres, witha super majority mindyou, and what did he do? Let me answer thatquestion - nothing, and that was Bush's fault too. If you dont believe that, askanyof his talking heads. Everything is Bush's fault. The only exception is then it's the GOP's fault. When will you open you're eyes and see what Obama is really after? Have you read his book "Dreams FROM My Father".(emphasis mine). If he hadnt accepted those dreams as his own the title would read Dreams OF My Father, but no. They are now his dreams and that is where this country is headed. Until you read the book the only thing you can say is what he tells you. If you continue to keep your head hurried in the sand like an ostrich, don't complain when someone kicks you in the only partof your anatomy that is visable.

Killa, Jill, Hum, Duh,

Still can't answer anything without just repeating something you heard or saw. Why don't you read the book instead of just quoting Sean Hannity on the title. Bush worked on screwing things up for 8 years making his buddies billions and did not have constant interference from the opposition. What single good thing did he accomplish for the good of the people? Get your head out of your own ass. The right wing, we own America machine, is taking advantage of all of us, you just seem to enjoy it.
