50 shades of gray is basically porn without the pictures and with an actual story revolving around sexual things.

So don't read it. Those who choose to read it should not need permission.

Wrong, if you disagree you can check page 484 or under "pl for money is monies" in the Webster's New World Dictionary of the American Language.

Although you are correct on my spelling of "privelege" and this is not the first time I have misspelled that word.

Also you left out an important adjective when describing me as a liberal, you should have stated "PROUD LIBERAL".

Being a Liberal is nothing to be proud of. Look at your pathetic excuse for a president. FAIL!

After your last president {Buschy}, Mickey Mouse would look absolutely perfect! Especially, after this mess we are faced with now started under his regime!

Proud Liberal!

I'd rather be part of the mickey mouse club than live on food stamps and hand outs. REAL Americans ask for a hand up, not a hand out.

So what of the fixed income elderly , mentally and or physically handicapped, those who have lost their jobs to outsourcing, etc.?

Are they not also "REAL Americans"?

Agree! I now fit in all three of those categories, first loss of a good job due to outsourcing, then physically handicapped due to radiation for cancer, and I'm 61 years old. I have no choice but to accept help just to survive! It sure wasn't my choice to be in this situation. I'd much rather be earning a paycheck, unlike some of these bums who thrive on living off the "system".

Wow, I feel a little dumber after reading all these comments. But I guess since I did I'll voice, ahem, type my opinion... I thought it was common sense that if you don't like something, don't read it, watch it, or listen to it. I couldn't ever imagine standing proud to try & get something banned that I did not agree with. I am a liberal. And a conservative. A republican. And a democrat. I agree with and disagree with plenty that each party goes for or against, but like I said: I thought it was simply common sense to not read something that I didn't like or agree with. That being said, yes I have read the first book. It was okay. I love reading. I typically read very vulgar books about sex, rape, drugs, violence, etc. That's what I like. Does that mean you have to like it? Certainly not. I tried reading Twilight and barely got through half of the first book. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I don't believe in vampires, however I would never think of raising a stink to try to get it banned. And same with Harry Potter! I'm definitely not into wizardry but would never expect someone to take it off the shelves. It's all a matter of opinion and being a little more open minded than most of you seem to be. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE BOOK THEN DON'T READ IT. IF YOU DON'T LIKE HEARING AN F BOMB IN MUSIC THEN DON'T LISTEN TO IT. IF YOU DON'T LIKE GUNS DON'T BUY ONE. I could go on all day but I'm sure you get the point. Not to mention, I've watched WAY worse pornos (which in my opinion is worse than reading) than 50 Shades even comes close to. So always remember, it could be worse! ;)
