Rolla police just dont have anything to do in this tiny town so duh they are going to bother people sometimes...they have quotas lmfao so watch out stay in the yellow lines...never be in a life or death situation ...I'm from New York and my dad was a officer for 9 years I cant speak for all but the city is a hard place for police! Oh and I'm not speaking of the "CITY" of rolla! Its really nothing here

I've lived in both large communities and small. Occasionally, there have been incidents in which police services were needed, regarding safety in my neighborhood while living in a larger community. The town I moved from was smaller than Rolla. In either case, police here are far less vigilant while driving, and while their job may be tough, there is no excuse for recklessness. They need pr training, and to make fewer exudes fire their driving. Turning on their lights it using a horn to warn while speeding are not unreasonable options if it keeps them from barreling into someone.

I work all the time and have a sweet baby boy. I live a very happy life, also living right, with morals that nobody seems to have anymore... Im not guilty of anything illegal or anywhere close to a drama queen, becuz I usually don't have time for bull crap! But with stating all that, I would NEVER trust most of the RP officers. Some of them are true cops, but mostly the ones that are retired or retiring... But there's my soap box! Thanks for reading :)

I'm betting Rolla cops shoot better than NYPD cops........every shooting in New York involving the police seems to involve a few dozen rounds fired....and usually an unarmed black man.....In fact, didn't the NYPD hit 8 or 9 innocent bystanders in their last shootout? NYPD miss more than they hit........RPD seems to hit everyone they're shooting at. Small town but better training?

Yes rpd only kills when they need to kill ppl
Nyc police has a higher population and a much higher crime rate
So does other larger areas
Rpd calls for 80 others units to one person
They better catch them

I agree with you about them not helping. you can be harrassed, threatened, attacted, fingered and cussed. Your animals can get gutted and come up missing. The police dept. dont give a shit. HELL THEY DONT EVEN SHOW UP FOR THE CALL. So all you smartasses that think they are great, maybe someday you will go through a simialar situation and you will find out. I hope not.

They don't have a much higher crime rate......New York city has a homicide rate about the national average........and they have about the same ratio of cops to people as Rolla.

There are nearly 50,000 police officers in New York City. They do have a much higher rate of criminal corruption, though. But since they don't make any more money than RPD officers, and the cost of living is many times higher, they probably have to do something to supplement their income.

Point is......if you're going to point to some bigger departments in order to claim RPD is less competent by comparison, I would not use NYPD.......They are lower paid, have less training, and tend to attract lower quality recruits because they basically pay jack.....and are also very corrupt......New York is bigger.......that's about it.

In fact, I'd avoid east coast cops entirely.........And Chicago.........West Coast cops tend to be better trained and better paid........Use LAPD as the example you're looking for.......especially as RPD seems to be set up along the LAPD model of policing more than the NYPD model.

Are you crazed? LAPD is notoriously corrupt! Have you ever even left this area to judge that? NYPD and the NY State Troopers are some of the best trained in the country. So you heard about 2 officers out of at least 60,000 or more. Be realistic, those are small numbers in the grand scheme of things. LAPD on the other hand, makes the news all the time for corruption. Try Googling them, you'll shake your head in utter disgust.
And I can't believe everyone ganging up on a woman sharing her story for being stalked. Watch out your bad vibes dont come back to bite you some day. Stay classy, rednecks.
