Actually I know plenty of people who smoke pot and they are very hard workers so it just depends on who you know for opinions like that

Definetly should be legal. In my mind alcohol and tabacco are much worse for you when it comes to overall health. To say it makes you lazy, well I'll accept that (in some cases) but its better than alcohol making you completely crazy/violent or nicotine making you extremely addicted after only one use, not to mention major health concerns. Also the big thing about it being a "gateway drug" is a myth. It only seems that way because its an illegal substance you buy on the black market. Where there's alot of other drugs being presented for you to buy. If it were legal then people could pick it up the legit way with all the other options of more dangerous drugs out of the equation.

Pot makes people lazy and confused. Its bad enough with dipwads who drive around distracted by their phones and texting. Do we need more unemployed slackers driving around?

I don't know who you buy your weed from but I don't get it on the black market. Most people just go to their local pot dealer. As for the gateway drug myth, I believe alcohol is a gateway drug more than pot. Most kids that end up on heroin and meth would tell you they tried cigarettes and alcohol and even prescription drugs before they could get their hands on weed. Most of them try that stuff at home or at a friends house by stealing it from their parents. Weed is taking the blame and it's not fair!*Legalize it!*
