Wow. Now I know you are dumb! Lic is abbreviation for licensed! Not all visits are scheduled either! Maybe you should review your knowledge of the state before running your mouth.

They freak out when state is coming. Gathering papers from parents that should have already been on file. Shot records, permission forms, etc. I have been asked for these papers from Beverly when state is coming. She had a big list and a folder full of papers for people when they came to pick up their kids.

Yes, they are always scheduled; like any other state department visit. Are you an employee of SS or just trolling this forum?

No I have my own daycare. Not all visits are scheduled. You might want to go to a meeting now and then and keep up on the rules. I have a brand new rule book and they can make a couple unannounced visits per year if they want to.

Really. You don't have a clue about what you are talking about. Sometimes the daycare is notified, but others are surprise visits. That's a fact OK. LOL

I'm sorry but you don't need to know! Plus I have two education degrees. One Masters. I think you're the one who needs an education. I wouldn't want someone like you to be watching children at all. You twit! Grow up child!!! You are nothing but a young drama starter who don't know what they are talking about and you're mad because two educated adults on here know what they're talking about and made you look dumb. So you need to stop because every time you post you just make yourself look even more stupid. You child need to go to school and grow up.

And the way you all are caring on tells me you've been around little kids to long. A healthy dose of "grow up" is needed.

I have found that, in most instances, the best daycares have a waiting list of several months for children to start. I would never send my children to Stepping Stones. The rumor about the girl getting locked in a supply closet and the staff not even realizing she was gone until mom showed up to pick her up is 100% true. I was told about it from an employee who worked there at that time. I also did a tour a couple years ago and was appalled at how the infants were being ignored, screaming in their seats for 20 minutes, while their staff gossiped. This happened while I was on a tour, and one would have thought they would be trying to look good for a potential client. Made me worried what happens when there are not any visitors around.
I have had friends with children at Salem Avenue Baptist and they were happy. Other daycares that have great reputations are in home daycare centers run by Debbie Wands or Jannell Abbott. Creative Kids also has a good program, but the location isn't so great.
There is a new childcare/school on Martin Springs Drive called Inknowvations, but haven't heard much about them. I looked at their website and they also have evening care offered.
Some preschools offer Mon-Fri full day programs during the school year. The two great ones are Methodist & Presbyterian.
Call them, Tour the facilities. Trust your intuition. Ask lots of questions. Once your child is in a daycare program, stop by in the middle of the day every once in awhile.

I'm a little sad that you would continue to spread merely a rumor about our daycare. And if it is something that really happened its been years ago. In the past 2 years EVERYONE including directors have been replaced and our reputation has grown into "being the best in town". Our babies are never left to cry, if they are it's because we have done everything possible to comfort them. The daycare as a whole has changed and continues to grow everyday. I encourage anyone wether they have a child there or not to stop by unannounced. Anyone would be more than happy to show you the facility.
