Century link is terrible. Lose connection throughout the day. I usually run slower speeds than what I pay for and the customer service is terrible. When I call to tell them my connection is down(several times a week) they tell me its because they are upgrading their systems to increase speed. Do they tell this to anyone else? I strongly recommend NOT to get centurylink.

I have had Century Link since it was embarq. I have had very few problems and I have a wireless and an eathernet modem. I have to reset it once in awhile but no big deal. Just call them about the price. Suddenly they get real competitive and you do not have a land line. However when I kept saying I was paying for double services (cell & landline ) I got a very cheap deal on the landline. I live in the rural area and only had to call them once for service had to replace one modem and can only remember 3 times I didn't have service and if I have figured correctly I have had DSL for around 10 years

So we live less than a mile out if city limits and maybe half a mile from people who have fidelity service. I am stuck with 3 meg of internet most the time 1.5 or lower through century link. We had to pay 40 something for that for like 2 years then the gal in the office was like if you lock in for a year its 27 a month. For 3 meg.... and once 330/4 pm hits you better not want to use the internet because we have like .5 meg..... which really sucks because we stream our tv we do not have cable or dish.... northwye sucks. Doolittle has 10 meg and here I am less than a mile from town with 3 meg... which it never is. And our service is down.... allllll theeeee timmmmeeee.... we call and complain and call and call and call and never get anywhere.

Yes, Fidelity sucks big time!! I have been fighting with them over my bill, they tried to say I haven't paid for Internet since December. They just sent me an itemized list of my payments, and one payment that was made at the end of January isn't even credited/shown on their itemized list. However it shows in the itemized list of my bank statement!!!! Needless to say, I am going there tomorrow to show them their error, and then cancellig their service. They are either going to have to offer me something pretty tempting at this point to keep my business! Because of THEIR poor accounting practices, I've had to waste more of MY time having to research this to dispute their bill that they claimed I owe.
It'll sure be funny tomorrow when they end up having to admit that I in fact AM correct! I spoke with 3 different people over there, and they all came up with the same conclusion. That I owe THEM $150! Bye bye Fidelity!! You just lost another customer!!

If you can get Charter its well worth 29.95 for the first 12 month now 40.00 .Funny had Centurylink for several yrs and then decided to go to Charter .Was being hosed for like 55.00 plus all the other crap...well when I told them to cancel me , I told them why. Well the guy says well we can get you that price too. F U after all the years u screwed me ! Hell no...bye bye!

Yeah thinking about getting Wave internet. I'm a gamer through and through, plus the data cap that Exede internet has is terrible. I live about 5 minutes from St.James, so there's a high probability that I'll be able to get wave, and everything about it sounds awesome considering I live out of town and can get almost as low of a latency as people living in town. Warning to all.

I love Fidelity and have great results with them. I use to have cenurylink and they were good. I have had wave and had problems. I had them check it several times and they could find nothing wrong but centurylink fixed it right away when I went with them. I don't think wave is real knowledgeable.

Haha Wave not be knowledgeable. That's a joke. I have them an they are amazing. If anything ever goes wrong they are there promptly to fix it. Very nice lady in the office. They know more then anyone I know.

Works great until it doesn't. Then they aren't interested in help you much. Make sure it works for you before they leave. Fast to sign you up, but customer service after the sale sucks.

Wave Not fast to fix....in fact not even interested in fixing once they have you on contract. They could not possibly seem to care less.

I currently have Century Link. Had it way back when it was Embarq. I have been happy with it from day one. I have had them over 11 years now. St one time I would have an on/off problem. The phone company would come and wot on things and would work for a good bit then goof up again. This would always be in the summer. Finally they found the problem on their side and I haven't had any problem since. I have worked with Fidelity on jobs. I cannot say anything bad about either one.
