ALL the time? May be a bit of a hyperbole.

Yes, I have NEVER had a problem with my Internet from fidelity. It's fast and reliable. Why are you arguing with me? I think I would know how well my service is working.

I've had century link for a year now and I absolutely love them and i only pay 38 dollars a month for high speed to the max internet. Ive never had a problem with century link with my internet going out at all. I like them.

We have rural DSL with CenturyLink since it was Embark, and got it without the phone service for just $38 a month (you have to ask for it with just the 'dial tone'). It is the 10 mb service and it's great, I even run servers over it that accept pings and send data packets--not web servers, of course. It never really goes down, but I do have to reset the modem maybe once every two months to get a new lease on an IP address.

Yeah I agree with that if im on it for such a long period of time over a month and using it constantly then I may have to reset mine ever couple of months, but as soon as I reset it, it comes right back on. But I agree I dont have any issues either.

I use Wave Internet and love them. Great customer service, wonderful employees and amazing prices. Try them out. I live out of town, but they also do in town ( know this cause a friend has it in town). :)

Ok let me get this straight. I can have centurylink without the phone for $38 a month? Right now I pay $87/month. They told me I had to have the phone line. Does it matter that I'm out of city limits? Also I am in school, so I really need good service, would without the phone be as good as with the phone?

Nope i dont have a phone line which means of course i dont have a house phone, and you can get your phone and your internet together really reasonable waay cheaper than that, I tie my direct tv and my internet together and dont even pay that. But i live way out of city limits and they came to my house. So hopefully you can too. Im not sure how far they go out of town or where but you can always find out. I like them, very good people there always nice and reasonable. Hope this helps

Yes, you can have it without the phone. You do have to have the "dial tone" and that costs something, but you don't have to buy the phone service package. They don't like it but you can get it that way. You also may need to talk to a supervisor, and you may have to make noises about dropping the service altogether. Just call them and ask about it. If you already have it set up and bundled services there might be a problem where you are locked in for a year, but hopefully not.

I live in the center of Rolla, my Century Link internet goes off all day long and I have to click away to get it back on. I called them today, unplugged and replugged the modem and hopefully I won't be disconnected in 5 minutes. I have only had it 2 months but the disconnecting starting the very next day and does it everytime I am online. Surely this is not normal, and definitely not tolerable.

Do you have a wireless mouse or portable phone running at 2.4 GHz? This could interfere with a wireless internet connection. If your modem is not wireless, disregard my question. If it is wireless, check for 2.4 GHz interference--you can Google that for more information.

If you have either of these devices, disconnect them and check your internet connectivity. If it is ok, you need to get more updated devices to work with modern WiFi. If not, complain to CenturyLink until they come out and fix the problem.

Fidelity has good service but I think they're way too overpriced.

I am a satisfied custmer with CenturyLink. Fast service, works well and the price is very competitive (like $30 bucks a mo.!).

I'd give CenturyLink a try!
