why is being gay a special privilege and why are they destroying a 2 thousand year old tradition. I do not hate anyone but do not like this gay pride trash, its sick to see a man act feminine knowing they are attracted to a penis makes no sense..

It has to do with changing times. Just like how some see the Rebel/Southern flag as "hate" while others see it at "tradition". The bible thumpers scream about the Bible and being gay is a sin. Yet they fail to mention the 2nd greatest commandment of all, Love thy Neighbor. It doesn't say love thy neighbor, unless he/she is gay. Love thy neighbor means just that, love you neighbor and don't judge them for their choices. This means you live your gay neighbor, abortion doctor neighbor, Muslim neighbor and so on. Who are we to tell someone who they can and can not love?? What if your child or grandchild grows and and decides/chooses to be gay, will you love them any less? I'm not gay, nor do I agree with the lifestyle. But, I will not shun, look down upon, discriminate or turn my back on someone who is. It's Thor choice and they have to answer to god. Just like I will have to answer to him on how I acted towards others while here on earth. Discrimination is ugly and unfortunately it's everywhere. How we deal with it is our choice.

Actually if ya'll are gonna bring God into this then don't forget that marriage is about standing before God. And if any of ya'll member it clearly states A Man and A Woman stand before him. It was Adam and Eve ppl not Adam and Steve. I got nothing against gay ppl they can't help their sin anymore then we can each stop out own. But to give them the right to marry after it also clearly states in the bible: If a man should lay down with another man he shall surely die. God does not want such marriages made in his name. But everyone's gonna keep pushing this then well soon accept ppl married to more then one person. We gotta put our foot down somewhere before we become entirely Godless. Do we really all want to be damned?

There are several cases of poligamy in the bible. If you're so quick to preach about what the bible says is right or wrong, make sure you know what you're speaking of. It also states in the bible that the victim of a rape must marry the man that raped her. Would you be willing to do that? Don't preach if you can't fully practice.

Honey I don't know what version of the bible your reading but I've seen ur name all over this site. Maybe u need to get the right bible and spend your free time reading that instead of talking out your pooper on this site all the time. Your just another one of those ppl who take the bible and twist the words to make your sin seem ok. God Bless You and You Have A Nice Life.

Get out your Bible because it's there...

Deuteronomy 22:28-29

Or shall we be putting people to death for cursing their parents?(Leviticus 20:9)

Or...death to women who are not virgins on their wedding night?(Deuteronomy 22:20-21)

Or...sell a daughter into slavery (Exodus 21:7-11)

And another...
Numbers 31:7-18

I am a devout Christian, yet I know there are several proclamations in scripture that are wrong, disgusting, illegal, etc. I choose the peaceful verses (i.e. love thy neighbor, thou shall not judge, etc).

I am not for or against gays getting married. I am straight, I show that I am straight. But I'm also close to a few gay people. When it comes to the Bible, I believe in a higher power that has no name, because it is so great it shouldnt need a name. I think morals is what people should live by. Like, don't lie, steal, or cheat. Then to have faith that everything will turn out for the best. Which is what so many believe. I mean I'm just curious to how many preachers and such have been caught stealing money from GOD?? Ive seen and heard a few. So while you want to judge about what a bible states and how gay marriage is bad, go look at your priest. I'm sure that he has skeletons in his closet that haven't been shown. Or he stay "god forgave me of my sins". Ive seen that card play over and over again. People do stupid stuff and play that card like its okay.

This is why people do have respect for the bible these days. If you love god you should do no wrong or stfu about god. You can't have it both ways. So while you speak of him as if you have done no wrong, realize you are posting on a site and speaking negative about others.

Like the church says, God excepts all. So should you.

this isnt to be mean. Its to get you to understand what a large amount of this plant believe. Or the fact that there are so many gods to believe in that people gave up on the fight to find which on is true.

I wasn't very clear with my rationale behind posting those versus...
I am very much pro equality in EVERYTHING...education, marriage, jobs, etc.
The argument using Bible verses by those who are supporting marital discrimination is laughable.

This is what's wrong with all of these small towns, your guy's opinion on this topic is pathetic. Everyone deserves to love WHOEVER they want. And I don't understand why it's such a big deal to everyone, all of a sudden everyone's taking sides when really.. When it all comes down to it, it's their choice to get married or love eachother, and quite frankly all of you homophobic bastards are gonna have to deal with it. Because it's a human instinct to love someone, why not the same sex? Because love Is a beautiful thing, if you can't have it just because of society, and a dumb law.. Than why live in this world. I'm not trying to cause anything, but I just wish more people had an open mind to this..

Remember Sodom and Gomorrah? Yeah everyone forgets about that! For ppl who pretend to know their bible verses. If ur so sure that God is gonna overlook what's going on, if all the sin was gathered together that he wouldn't smite them again?

The constitute is not based on the Bible. Scripture was used to defend slavery and fight interracial marriage. Our system must keep any religion out of the picture.
