Publicize you business with Rolla Police.

All you have to is send them a load of food, like pizza or pastries like they received from the Coffee Mine, and one of them will post a picture and tell you how kind it was of them for their donation on their Facebook Page.

Rolla is meant to be smarter then that. But then again. the local police did graduate from Rolla High school = Duh!

More annoying is the smart comments by Verna Dillon who keeps asserting "save me some"

Its open season...don't be surprised to to read about the Arabs from World Wide Foods delivering a free lunch to RPD and have the police department publicize their next free meal.

Alex's, Coffee Mine tricked the RPD. Do the Officers ever wonder if there were laxatives in there>

God Bless. It must be nice to score free food in exchange for bizarre poop the next morning. Opps, I forgot. RPD don't poop!

To John (Not real name!) Whoever said I hated the RPD. They are such a good police department, surpassing the efforts of LA PD) We live in a democracy, where everyone has a right to voice their opinions.

Fact is, businesses are catching on...a cheap way to publicize your product in Rolla is to bring over over a basket of goodies to the police department, and they take photos with their 3G iphones for us to comment upon.

Goodnight and God bless you. I hope my thread educated you a little bit.

This is a small town. Cultivating good relationships is good for the business and RPD! Personally, I think it is brilliant! The business gets to show their support of RPD, and RPD publically acknowledges them! Great example of community spirit!(Btw that is most assuredly my real name)

Guess what? The cops don't care and neither would you. 4 years with no raises the cops don't care if a business wants free advertisement. Why does it bother you? Because your small minded business brain did not think of it? Did this only offend you after the new and by the way awesome food from the Coffee Mine show up. Makes me think you must be in competition with coffee sales. The Coffee Mine was thinking of a way to get their name out there and guess what? They did. Awesome job Coffee Mine. After the post I stopped by and had the bear claw. It was great!!!! Never knew they had such a thing at the pharmacy. Thank you

This cheap underhanded advertising will have consequences.

Many of these establishments that furnish food to the police department hope that are given a mention.

There have to be $7.75 employees who might have a grunge against an officer who arrested their brother, sister or parent.

Munch away on the free food RPD. When the toilet paper runs short, and your spouse complains about the smell, you'll have known why and how the cause of it. LOL.

Wow. You're retarded. I'm sure the businesses appreciate the thanks, first of all. And I'm sure they also appreciate the attention brought to their business. After all, they're human.
However, I don't understand why people like you even have the RPD on your fb! All you do is sit around complaining and bad mouthing them! Good lord! Don't "like" them on fb then maybe you won't sit around stewing just waiting for their next post to offend you. Idiot.
They post things like that to yes, promote LOCAL business. Because they care about the community and their fb page has a very friendly, small town feel. But also because then genuinely do appreciate it.
Finally, most of them didn't graduate from Rolla. So, way to be presumptuous.
Wow

Also, two things in your post show your ignorance. 1) "Christian girl" is your username....way to start a thread talking trash about the local police officers. Real Christian right there, folks.
2) In a sentence where you're questioning people's intelligence, you reveal that you don't know the difference between THEN and THAN. "Rolla is meant to be smarter then that."
.....Irony at its finest.

No kidding.

People have been donating food and treats to cops and firemen and EMTs for years before the internets. It is just a nice gesture to show appreciation.

And a little thank you isn't much in the way of advertising. Original poster needs to get off government aid and turn off FOX News and get out more.
