They have a huge amount of turnover so a new driver excuse could be an excellent reason. Also, the holidays screw up the schedules.

Been with them for many years and not had any trouble with them. Holidays does mess up the schedule. After a holiday they are a day off. They work on Saturday to do Friday's work. Sometimes the trash doesn't get out on time and it just happens. And they do have some new drivers due to illness and relocation. Just hang tight. You won't be sorry.

I had one issue and they were more than willing to accommodate me. So, they had one screw up. I think everyone should be entitled to at least one. And yes, I believe they do keep a log of who they pick up to estimate weight/load and how much the average bin weighed and to ensure they don't go overweight before going to the landfill. If the driver had it marked that the bin wasn't out, that's the best the people in the office have to go on.

I am very thankful that people exist who will work in horrible weather and deal with my nasty, smelly trash. It happens to me about once a year that they forget to stop or don't take everything. But even that is WAY better than having to take it to the landfill myself like my relatives in rural Kentucky have to do...or starting a trash pile on the back part of my land.

Instead of feeling personally offended, be appreciative of what you have. If you need help, put a bag of kitchen trash in the backseat of your car and drive it to the landfill just once. Let the meat juices leak out onto your car's carpet. Let your kids or grand kids complain that their seat or floor is sticky the next time they ride with you. Then come back on here and complain about hard-working people not living up to your standards.

Oh...and the fuel charge. Your choice...you could either pay a higher set rate every single month that takes into account what fuel prices COULD do.(Remember the predictions last spring that gas could hit $5 per gallon over the summer?). Or you could pay a variable charge based on what is actually happening to fuel prices. I guarantee that you are paying less this way!

I agree completely! And in my experience, every time i used to go to the landfill I would end up with at least one flat tire... Using the trash collect service has been excellent. We tipped the driver and collector for Christmas every year since we have used it! Well worth the money and appreciate the service rain, shine, or snow!

Sometimes the providing of false information is a lie. Other times it is simply an error or a mistake.

So you assume the worst? That they lied?

Most of the time when the trash doesn't get picked up it is because the trash was not out. They do have three new drivers. They also have a diver that is nothing but a fill in driver he never runs the same route
They have route sheets and sometime those things are next to impossible to understand. Just the way the route is run. I promise you tip that driver or remember him at Christmas or just tell him thank you I appreciate you once in awhile he will never forget you. And if they do swap drivers for your route the word spreads. Believe me don't get too upset with the office girl. All she can do is try to smooth it over. Never fear she chewed the driver out.

Ive had this issue to with pro one disposal. We didnt know our payment was up and we never knew when they were picking up they would say one day but pick up in another. They wanred us to leave our money under trssh lid.. no way we had some guy that walked around and took things from trash cans. They took oir trash bin and threw or trash on our lawn getting us then in trouble by our land lord. So dont do pro one either.

I just know a little on how that type of business works. Granted this person is getting paid. But a batch of cookies at Christmas or a nice cold glass of ice tea or lemonade on a hot day would show you appreciate them an I sure appreciate my driver. As stated earlier I would not want that mess in my vehicle and I sure as heck don't want to go to the landfill. Not only is this job dirty it is also dangerous especially on the country State Routes and not counting the equipment they operate and what they are exposed to. You don't have to tip them. No one said you had to. But we don't have to tip waitresses/waiters hairdressers or any other service provider. But just showing a little appreciation goes a long way. Heck just leave a note telling the driver he is doing a good job would be nice. Heck if the dogs get into the trash or the wind scatters it he might go that extra mile for you.

They wouldn't come into my subdivision the morning of the snow. So this whole "work on all kinds of weather" thing isn't exactly true. All the cars made it out fine. They didn't bother to try.
