You amuse me. I am wicked happy with who I am and I have pink hair, tattoos, and piercings. I have a job, don't use drugs and have never been to jail. I haven't even had a traffic ticket in years. Perhaps I'm not your version of normal but I am certainly content enough with myself that I don't need to judge you or others. I'm not seeking attention with my hair, tattoos or piercings; I am quite simply exploring my individuality and creativity.

What can be done about all the illegal tattoo houses with the drug abuse and giving small kids tattoo's? There was another overdose this week.

RHS parent, you may be shocked to find that it is less likely someone whom you view as a danger, and more likely a public figure or friendly neighbor giving kids drugs. Tattoo artists are just that, artists. Some even graduate from esteemed universities. Pay attention to what your kids are involved in and they won't continue to grow up to be drug using, classless bullies and hypocrites like most of the locals around here.

Since their busts are related to meth. Just wondering-does crystal meth really make you super emaciated, with bad skin and rotten teeth. I don't really see anyone who looks like those online 'faces of meth' photos at stores in town. Are there scary looking druggies like that in Rolla????
Yeah

Since coming to this town, it's been easy to see that it is full of druggies, naive and crotchety old farts, judgmental wannabes, and a few good folks trying to deal with the idiots they're surrounded by. The cops are corrupt, the schools are a nightmare, and no one takes responsibility for anything. The houses are shabby, the kids are dirty or inbred, and if it weren't for the university, it probably wouldn't be a viable town. But I guess since I'm educated, from a good pedigree, pay taxes, and am gainfully employed (with a tattoo), that I'm the common dunce. Read a newspaper and try looking at the real reason so many people here are using drugs... Poor schooling, bad parenting, lack of stimulating activity available, too few decent jobs, and worthless police force.

So it appears you destroyed your 'good pedigree' by getting a tattoo. Now you are socially the same status as prisoners and druggies.

haha!

The point, dear neophyte, is that tattoos don't determine your character. If you've nothing better to do than be hateful based on your prejudices, may I suggest you find a hobby, or a friend? My pedigree, morals, education, and good nature are intact. As are those of countless others who've chosen to decorate themselves as they see foot, regardless of your treats, or anyone else's.

I am just pointing out that drug users and tattoos go together and attract the same deviant mentality. Normal people don't ruin thier bodies with drugs, or with tattoos. Can't you see the connection?
Everytime you see a person with a tattoo, arn't you looking at a drug abuser (or potential drug abuser)?
Right?
Both you and da plane can rot in hell with your judgemental a$$es. I work at the best biggest boat company in MO and guess what. I have tattoos and piercings...woohooo and walked away from a meth addiction sober 8 almost 9 years now. God says not to judge lest ye be judged ...so stick that stick up your a$$

Good for you. Congratulations on beating the monster of addiction.
They are closed minded, judgmental people too busy pointing fingers at physicalities to help another human being, or help make positive change. If they're not helping, then they're part of the problem.

Its not judgemental of one's 'physicalities'.
Getting a tattoo (or taking meth) are a bad personal decision, and everyone will judge you based upon the decision. Those with tattoo's will judge that its a good decision and those without will judge that its a bad decision.

At least a meth addiction can be reversed; a tattoo marks you forever, unless you chemically burn it off. Tattoos are worse than methamphetamine.

Hate is worse than anything. Tattoos don't affect you, so why be so full of hate for everyone who has them? By the way, not every person who was rounded up had a tattoo. Also, meth as a substance is bad. The decision to use is usually due to boredom, curiosity, or weakness against pressure. This place, until it fosters the growth of their young, will be a breeding ground for generations of addicts and hatemongers who will fuel each other's shortcomings. The hateful will harm the weak, who will concurently hurt themselves, and piss you off.
Grow a heart and learn to love your neighbors, or let them be. After all, your liberties only exist to the extent of which they don't hinder another's.
