and sympathy for the truck driver and the business owner. Maybe your grand pa had a recent histroy of driving problems. Look the old guy had a full life, don't be so bitter, be happy for that.

He was my grandfather too you piece of shit. You have no idea what the whole story is, what happened or the circumstances surrounding the ACCIDENT!!!!!!! If it were any of your family, I would have the COMMON courtesy to allow the family to grieve without snide comments from people like you who have no damn idea what happened. The trucker that was involved in this is healthy and expecting a baby this week. We wish him the best and hope he has a beautiful baby. Thank you for stopping and helping my grandfather. We are not bitter, but when you lose someone as great as this man was, it hurts to have someone who knows nothing about the situation make a comment straight out of his ass.

This is a public forum, nothing here is personal. We are not sending Emails. Please remember comments here reflect society views in general not specific individuals. My original comment was "when your too old to work your a burden to society" thats a general observation you don't have to agree with. However with so much talk of Social Security going bankrupt, senior citizens using thousands of dollars in health care dollars that must be paid by young working families, and finally the government having no age limits on driving. Therefore at some point" when your too old to work you become a ( finacial ) burden to society". The idea is to spark debate from other posters not from family members directly involved. There may come a time when the American economy requires us to make difficult choices regarding the aged. Shall we burden young families with the expense of those who have already led a full life, will we allow millions of baby boomers to clog our transportation system when clearly many will not be able to fully function. Will and should the needs of the aged be a economic burden to the young. Should we place young families at risk by allowing the aged to use public roads regardless of ability or medical condition. Is that fair to them? Luckily this time it was a semi instead of a young mother and children.

So if you meant "financial" burden, say that in the first place. How about you quit thinking of how the government can make it easier for you by taking away priviledges from the aged. I can't wait until the day when you yourself becomes a BURDEN to society.

Do you people realize the United States borrows 2 Billion dollars a day because the government and consumers spend more money than they make? What happens to America when China wants to use that money to build it's own country instead of lending it back to us? What happens when the economy slows down and China doesn't have that money to lend America. Go on believing America is a rich country and the envy of the world.

My Sympathy to the Bergkamp family. I want to make a few comments about the eldery. We are here on earth to serve others and to cherish life every last minute. The young is called to serve the eldery and take care of them. It was the eldery who served the young as babies and cared for them until they become self sufficient. The young need to be less selfish and help and care for as many people as they can. Help by taking care of he eldery, helping the poor, volunteer time to mow lawns for people who cannot. Visit the sick and eldery. We are called to cherish life every minute. We are called to serve others. We are called to be moral. Talking about the Eldery like they sould be "killed to benefit the young" is completely imoral and flat Wrong! How can society be so sick! Yea, I am prolife and very pround of it.

Tell them to fully fund medicare with tax increases, go ahead tell them what a good hearted person you are.
