The temp service lady is walking people through every other day. I don't know why they have a temp service in the office but if you need a job you should contact the plant. It's a great place to work.

It's a great place to work. If you like being lied to your face and stabbed in the back while you are bent over getting screwed up the rear.

You don't know why they have a temp service in the office? And you think it's a great place to work. Are you really that dense?

I guess you have never worked anywhere else. You just described every factory in Tennessee.

No, you just described every plant in Rogersville. The temp services have taken over every single plant in town, make on average $4-$6 per hr of each worker they "employ" and keep the scam going by constantly shuffling everyone around so they never complete the minimum 90 day probationary period. And the plants support this practice so they won't have to provide insurance. Id love to see every temp person at every plant go on strike at the same time & push for unionization. It's not like these plants will up & move after all the money they've invested... It's all a freaking scam
Really?

Cooper is a horrible place to work. They do not care for their employees! They will screw you over every chance they can. You can't trust anyone!! The money is ok but it's not worth the abuse. If they want you gone, you will get screwed in every way possible! It dosent matter if you have been there a week or 15 years. You are a nobody!

No, I stand by what I said, but maybe the entire US of A. So many people are without a job that factories can pick and chose who they want. Do you buy a car without trying it out first? No, so why hire someone that you know nothing about without trying them out first?

There is no problem with, as you say, test driving the potential employees. But these companies have made a habit of abusing the "test drive" by returning the subject before the end of the test drive.

By the way, did you know that when a pimp takes a portion of a prostitutes earnings it is called pandering and is illegal. Sort of like the temp services getting a portion of a prospective employees earnings. Pandering is pandering no matter what fancy name you give it. Temp services are sending people to work and are getting a portion of what that employee should be making. Same as pimping out a prostitute. The job pays $10.00 an hour yet the temp employee gets $6.00 the service get the other $4.00.

Cooper is a shit hole. I get out of bed every morning and I am thankful that I no longer work there. Getting another job and turning in my notice after putting up with that crap for 12 years is the best thing that I have done in a loooooooong time. I actually have a life and do not spend 60++ hours a week in that place. To all Cooper people...find something else and get the hell out of there. You will be surpirsed at how happy you will be.

I think that companies have the right to have a probationary period, but as you say some take advantage of this so they can work someone for 5 1/2 months then let them go before they become full time. I also agree with you about the pay. It's still like it has always been, if you don't have alot of money, you have to eat alot of sh&t to make a living.

The problems with Cooper are the same problems experienced by factories all over america, namely too much governmental regulation. Like pay and healthcare. Like retirement. Like child labor laws and minimum wage laws. Like union thugs.

This is the reason why Cooper is skirting the system with temp services, because Cooper can't afford to pay you. You should be thankful just to have any job at all, epecially when times are tough like they are now. Companies today can barely afford to give their CEOs bonuses and here you are expecting creature comforts at work. You aren't at work to relax, you are at work to work, so stop complaining dummy.

I think if America were to just wholesale eliminate all these laws and let Cooper and other manufacturers do as they please, not only would we eliminate all the complaints from the employees, we would eradicate unemployment altogether. These 1 dollar a day manufacturing jobs in China would come back to America. it would be grand.

Sounds like all the factory work is the same in this region. Cooper still is the best place to work and I am thankful to have such a wonderful job and the great people that I work around there. Just think of the money they are paying. Arent we the highest paid plant around?

i work there and i am glad i have a job but that doesnt give them the right to treat their employees like shit. There are good people who work every day and are on time and dont miss at all and they are treated pretty much like slaves. and their lack of comminication and management skillssuprise me. and they give supervisor postions back to people that have had them taken away twice. that tells me that that person is incompetant and cant do their job. it really is a sorry place to work. maybe there all like that but ive not worked everywhere. and i have had jobs where i got treated a whole lot better. i dont wanna have to look for another job because ive been there a long time and hate to start over but things need to change
