WalMart has already taught them how to live off the government for their healthcare, and that was while they were still drawing a paycheck.
The way WalMart has set this up, they don't have all that much more to loose by striking, now do they?
That's the big part of the equation you anti-strike buffoons are neglecting.
And good luck to any corporation who thinks it can replace 23 million workers at once on the biggest sale day of the year.
Walmart would lose 1 sale day....23 million people would lose a permanent job....and be easily replaced by others that actually WANT to work. With unemployment at the highest it's been since the great depression, this is not a workers market.

Again, when these employees are half way onto the public dole already, coached there by their employer while drawing a paycheck, its not that big of a deal to lose the job. That's the reality WalMart created all by itself, painting itself into that corner.

Don't assume 23 million employees can be replaced "easily". There is no 'ease' in turning over 100% of your workforce.

Don't assume people are lining up to be next worker thrown to the lions, either.

. I'm a single mother that has worked for Walmart for over 20 yrs. I think Sam Walton would be ashamed of what it has become today! When I started at WM it was like family, Sam was still living then when he passed on it went all to hell! They use to care about their associates now they could care less, they can replace you the next day & pay someone much less! The more you do the more they want, they expect you to do the job of 3 people so who has time to be nice or friendly to the customer! Who has time to help the customer when 1 person is taking care of 4 departments ( No one)! The management usually suck ass to the store manager & most store managers most not all treat their people like dogs, mine does! Anyways I would LOVE to do this strike, LOVE to but unfortunately I'm in the same boat as many others I've been there so long we are stuck, I need my job! It's all about kissin ass & if you don't your screwed of course I'm one that won't kiss ass! But never the less I need my job! I have a family that depends on me!

Unions can not guarantee anything other than you paying union dues. 8-9% unemployment rate...strike by anyone is simply not smart

Talk to union truckers that worked for consolidated frieght. Their dues to teamsters got them nothing not even a warning they were losing their jobs
