Gas is not going to get much cheaper, as americans we are going to have to face that no matter how much we hate it.You can apply and get interviewed ask about the pay and if its not to your liking I guess you just stay where you are. The Walmart distribution center in Mosheim is hiring a few. The starting pay there is 14.35 an hour on 2nd shift and 14.00 an hour on 1st shift. They work 4 ten hour days Tues-Fri.

They also have a weekend shift that runs one 12 hour shift on Sat-Mon. and it pays around 15.00 an hour to start.

“My opinion is just that..mine!”

That is right here.........All 3 of my kids work in the automotive industry, they go from day to day not knowing what tomorrow is going to bring, It is sad , but becoming a way of life..You can't make any plans, because you never know if you will have the money or not. Let me guess right now your Husband is working at Hutchinson. I know they are starting out at 8.84 for temps, but no gaurantees of when to get hired on permantly. IF he is there, what shift does he work, 2 of my kids work there, plus a son-in-law

<quoted text>I knew your father and he was a wonderful man. Nice as all get out. I never heard a negative thing from him. I don't know you but all the best for your dad. If hes looking for a job I can tell you a good place hiring permenant. My husband is going to put in his application in the morning and the was the man told us it pays well.
Thank you so much! I can't speak highly enough about my daddy. I'm not just saying that because he's my dad. There are plenty of members of the family that I can't speak as highly of. My daddy is certainly a good man.

Thanks for the informatin. I'll pass the information about Domtar on to him.

Cypress Group and Goldman Sachs bought Cooper. It was finalized 12/23/2005. You never hear about Cyress Group though. Our plant is still making some kind of profit. I feel sorry for the sister plants that are in the hole. Goldman Sachs has a lot more to worry about than just us. Maybe the government buyout will help. I sure hope so!
