You have swayed me, morally if no services were rendered, then at least a partial refund would seem in order. However, same situation as above, if you lost a sale on the car while holding it, then you would have suffered a loss.

Better be careful. He might try and get you for slander or something!

How so? In order for it to be considered libel or slander it would have to be untrue and Every single thing that I have said regarding Mr Skelton is true and I have documentation and phone records backing it all up.
just so you know

I wont go into details ,but I would not recommend using Skelton to catch a dog . I used him for my bankruptsy and I have regreted it ever since. Even 8 years later I am finding out things he was suppose to have taken care of and didn't and it has messed up things greatly . Beware is all I can say !

Yes, I have heard several stories like this in person from others and I guess it is a good thing I didn't pay him in full and go through with my filing through Mr. Skelton. I would still like to get a detailed billing statement or my money back from him but as of today nothing....

Thanks to Mark our bills are paid and we have a roof over our head, things we did not have before Mr. Skelton came through with my husbands disability after he went legally blind. Thanks again Mark.

Well, I think Mr. Skelton is a great attorney. He works with you every way he can. I'm just speaking from our experience with him. Everyone there, even in the office have been very nice to our family. I'm very sorry your having hardship & all, but why wouldn't you just put it on hold until you could pay the rest if you don't mind me asking? Again, I am truly sorry your having financial problems. I can definitely relate to that very well. I will keep you up in my prayers.

Yes, I agree...His office staff is very nice and professional and I have nothing whatsoever against them at all.
The reason I did not put it on hold was that I was in dire need of the cash I had already paid to pay the electrical bill at the time. He had said that until ALL money had been paid that he did not officially represent me and that no work would be done on the case till then which is why I thought he might give the money back since NO work whatsoever had been done. Had he givin it back I would have later saved the total up,paid him the full amount and gone ahead with the filing later on. The letter he sent the next day telling me that he intended to keep the money also said that it would remain on credit for later on but frankly after what he pulled I wouldn't use him to help me register a dog in the future and would discourage anyone else that I come into contact with to having anything to do with him also....

Thank you for your prayers...

Of course he worked hard on your husbands disability case. In SS disability cases a lawyer doesn't get a cent unless he wins the case for the client and he then gets a percentage of the first pro rated payment to the person who is getting disability. It looks like in what is being discussed here he just took the guys money without doing a thing for him.
