Desk clerk had alcohol on his breath!! Very Bad!! Talked to manager about these things, she refused to give any discount only suggested giving half off on my next visit. No thanks, i want be back!!

I have to agree with "Tired Traveler". I always stay @ the Holiday Inn when im in town on business but this last time tried the Comfort Inn for the first time..... Staff was rude and the rooms werent very clean. Stayed one night then headed back to the holiday.

You must learn how to party with the desk clerk. He will hook you up with the prostitutes and discount rates!!

So see? You might want to go back to Comfort Inn and appologize for your behavior. Meet the desk clerk and shake his hand, or buy him a drink.

Actually thats not quite true... Yes Bruce Hurley is majority owner of both...But... The Comfort Inn is partially owned by four Indians,(from India) The Quality Inn is owned by Bruce & another man that was the former CEO of Perkins, hince American owned. The two hotels are ran by different managment an staff teams, they have nothing to do with eachother. Thats what I was told directly from a staff member at the Quality Inn. My wife an I particulary prefer the Quality Inn clean rooms great staff

“And then...”

Tired Traveler, when did you stay? They do rent out the pool on Saturdays from 1:00-3:00 for birthdays and such. I've never stayed there, so I don't know about the cleanliness.

Is it not obvious that the douchebag "Happy at Quality" and the douchebag "Tired Traveler" are one and the same?

Pretty sorry of someone to do this just because they benefit from the Holiday/Quality Inn?

I think what a previous poster meant was the the chain Choice Hotels owns both Comfort and Quality Inns. This ground also includes Sleep Inn, Clarion, and several others.

I stayed at the comfort inn once. The staff was very rude to myself and my son. Didn't get the wakeup calls i requested, it took 25 minutes to get us checked in, the clerk had the attitude that we was intruding on his time, once we got the keys to the room, the clerk had friends waiting in the lobby for him, they walked outside to do whatever. I didn't feel safe there. They was a bunch of young guys that looked like thugs We only stayed one night, of our 3 day reservation. Because the next morning, we saw a housekeeper walk by with a plunger going to a room. Later she came into the breakfast room to refill the bagel tray with her bare hands. I thought i would get sick on the spot. Needless to say we left right away. You would think with that price (we paid over $100) they would have someone serving breakfast that didn't just plunge a toilet!!!

Are they not under the watch of the Tennessee Health Inspector? I would think so, for inspections, and upkeep? I have never been inside of the hotel, but i don't think that is the kind of people we need up there......

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express about a month ago. The staff was accomodating and friendly, and the room was clean, and with all the nessities. Would stay there again. Having back problems and the driving I had done that day, the matress was really firm, too. A plus!:)
