I actually got an appointment at the place beside the English rose tomorrow. I don't want to necessarily put my info out here because people are so cruel. I thank you all for being so helpful. It's nice to know there's still people who care.

You could also check with United Way. There is also a family resource center located behind Rogersville Middle School. I'm not sure if you MUST have a child in school to receive assistance but they may be able to help with food (if needed). The family resorce center has an EXCELLENT directory of local resources. Also, you mentioned a 6 month old. Have you checked on WIC eligibility through the Hawkins County Health Department? It's a supplemental food program that provides formula (if you meet the income eligibility criteria). Good luck!

I will pay $100 on your light bill tomorrow, but I too will not put my info on here. How can we do this, perhaps I could do it anonymously at Holston Electric, but how would they know who to apply it to?? This is tough, and I do apologize for coming off a little tough, just so many people trying to take advantage these days, especially on here. The only E-mail address that I have has my name in it, so I am at a loss here??? Maybe a code word at Holston Electric?? Figure out how and I will help.

The Family Resource Center (behind RMS) will help anyone....NO QUESTIONS ASKED. They are WONDERFUL and you DO NOT have to have a child within the school. I donate there ALL the time. As a teacher, I can call them up and they will do what they can every time. If I call Shepherd's Center they want me to fill out paperwork and limit what I can get for a student in need. I'd HIGHLY recommend any of your future clothes, furniture, etc. to the Family Resource Center. They are GREAT!(And before anyone bashes me...NO I DO NOT work there and the ONLY things that I have asked them for is items to benefit STUDENTS.)

I'm so glad to hear that the resource center really does help people. I have donated coats, shoes and etc for children before. I haven't ever heard if our community really ever benefited from it. That's great to know that they do! I will take all my donations to them. Thanks for the information. I'm so glad you have found some help. Good luck to you and your child.

Lonestar, thank you for your offer. The place next to the English rose actually paid it in full. Zues, it was 250. I am so thankful that there's still people like you all in the world. It touched my heart That people still care. I'm praying when I start this job I will no longer need help but its good to know it is there if I do. Thank you all so much for your concern. To the personwho said something about wic, we already have that! It helps tremendously! Formula is super expensive!!! Thank you all again!!!

Formula is expensive you are correct. When my daughter was little like years ago she had to have soy formula. She could not have regular formula because it made her bleed from her bowels. Dr.Plum where I lived gave me 2 to 3 cans of soy formula a week. They gave her free samples at her work and she did it because she liked me. A dear friend of mine who is my friend on face book too. So I feel you on that one for sure about formula being expenisive. I couldnt have done it without Dr. PLums help, love her dearly. Who says you cant be friends with a doctor?lol

To Desperate: Perhaps "desperate" you could establish a contact with someone at Shepards Center, that could not only verify your need. That would X out the scam possibility, and people could be told here, who the contact is, maybe the same idea at Holston. There are some good hearted people in Rogersville.

The baby daddy needs to be paying child support. Even if you felt you didn't need it, your child is entitled to support from both parents. Call the district attorneys office and do this for your child. This will go on for the next 18 years, might as well get help from other parent.
