The sincerest of all congratulations are in order for President Barack Obama and all his supporters. They ran a tough campaign and deserve the hard-earned success they achieved on Tuesday. Wow, 4 more years, I can hardly wait! And seriously, I wish the president all the best; he has my unbridled support.

Just kidding!!!!

What do you think all the church pastors will be talking about come Sunday morning? Do you think they will be talking with refreshed optimism about a bright future for all Americans? No, if you look around the only one who is speaking with optimism right now is Obama. Like we could actually work together, pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and rebuild our country now with 4 more years of him in office??? No, let's get real, this coming Sunday morning the pastors will not be talking about sunshine and apple pie, they will be talking about the same things you are hearing at work right now from all your coworkers. FEAR AND DOOM!!!!! It is precisely clear that the future is very bleak indeed. Decreased wages, increased taxes and gas prices, all the jobs going to china, diminished quality of life. And now that the Obama machine is back in power, the layoffs have already begun just in time for Christmas.

On election day we were given a clear choice: do we want to get back to our principles and christian values and fix this broken Obama economy, or do we want something else (i.e., the European model of nanny state government dependency). Well, Americans chose poorly, what else can I say. Instead of doing quality research and voting in an informed manner, many people voted blindly and made an uninformed emotional decision. They voted for Obama because he is black. Or because he has a nice personality and is more attractive than Romney. Maybe this is why Obama captured the youth vote, because Obama is a trendy rock star, while Mitt and Ann remind young people of the parents that they hate so much. Young people today all seem to resent parental authority because older people who have values also have higher expectations of their children.

Well, whatever. Personally I knew that Obama was going to win this election and that is what I have been saying all along. It is true that the Romney/Ryan ticket was the only thing that could possibly save America after 4 years of Obama, but it is also true that it didn't really matter who the Republicans ran against Obama. We could have dug up Reagan's decayed corpse and ran him against Obama, Obama would still have won re-election, period. Why? Because the "takers" outnumber the "makers", it is that simple and I have been saying this all along. That "47%" figure that Romney gave? The number is much, much higher. Just look at the election results and you will see exactly how many moochers there are in this country. And frankly, it is absolutely disgusting to look back at the 50's and 60's and see how far we have fallen into decadence since then.

Maybe it is the case that Romney might not have been the best candidate to run against Obama; a lot of Republicans didn't really like Romney. But the fact of the matter is this: if you voted for Romney, you are on the side of what is good and proper, you are on the side of what is right, you are a patriot and nobody can take that away, not even Obama. It didn't really even matter which man you voted for, what mattered was on what side of the issues you took your stand. And if you voted for Romney, you were a winner.

In conclusion, ask yourself: do you think God looks kindly upon us electing homosexuals and ragheads to represent our nation? Do you think God wants same sex marriage and Obamacare forced on people who don't want it? Do you think God wants a nation to condone drug abuse or abortion? Well, on election day this country gave God and family values the middle finger. I think this is what the pastors will be talking about on Sunday; if your pastor isn't talking about those things then you need to find a new church.

Master chowder, according to Rush, 3 million republicans did not vote this election. Were they the evangelicals who we did not hear much about, and was it because Romney is a Mormon? I don't know, what's your take?

Jesus never said a damn thing about blessing America. Jesus does not want you to judge others. Jesus prohibits preaching in the streets or praying just to be seen of men.

have you not actually read your Bible?

Considering the margin of victory was about 3 million, I find it funny that Rush claims the number of indifferent republicans was that same magic number. How conveeeeenient.

Translation: Rush is fabricating his own voter statistics claims.

Just like Dick Morris, they are all trying to backpedal their erroneous predictions in order to save their audience.

I don't blame them for trying to save their audience, I mean, that's their job. Dick Morris is never right. As far as I'm concerned, he's still working for Clinton. I listen to Rush once in a while, he's sometimes entertaining. And their's Geraldo Rivera, he endorses Romney and than says he's voting for Obama because of social issues. How's that for saving his audience.

Econ professor at school says the economy is going to tank IN A BIG WAY no matter who won the election. And this mess started with Bush. Obama hasn't helped, and neither would Romney. How ignorant of you to think people would not vote for Romney because they remind them of their PARENTS! My parents are not billinaire morons, er, Mormons.
There isn't that much diff between the parties. People who have a lick of sense know that.
And master chowder, you are full of hate. Yea, just so happens God HATES the same things YOU do.
What a coincidence! And you are hoping the church pastors will preach HATE on Sunday!
Hate and intolerance!! Just what God prescribes!
People like YOU hurt the reputation of both the repubs and church goers. Seems like a truly religious pastor would ask his congregation to pray for Obama and Romney both, winner and loser, and guide both of them in years to come. YOU and your ilk are the reasons young people don't flock to church. Who wants to be caught up in your bitter, hating, selfish orbit? Not me buddy. You and your "family values". All families have to be JUST LIKE YOURS don't they? And if they arent', you hate them. Wow...mind boggling...

I have no doubt many churches will use this election to promote their agenda of fear and hate. I saw one church mentioning the Marines who died in Benghazi but he never mentioned the Marines, or other brave servicemen who died in other countries last month and this month. If he had just said they would be praying for and honoring ALL VETERANS that would have been enough but he had to word it so even the dimmest bulbs would understand his political agenda.

Christians forget what they should have been taught while the preacher was off on his political tangents. Talk of fear and doom makes it occur.“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”(Proverbs 23:7) This is the same idiotic panic that causes runs on banks, gas stations, grocery stores. It's always good to be prepared for hard times but this apocalyptic obsession you guys have borders on the masochistic. While the gullible rush to sell stocks I guarantee Warren Buffet will be buying low while he can.

Every finacial analyst I've heard says were are solid for the long term. For the short term it will be a volatile market. What's spooking investment firms is the coming fiscal cliff, the Eurozone and Greece. Obama has no control over other global economies but either congress works with the President this time or all of us have to bite the bullet.

So when you want to tell others how Obama is destroying the world because the stock market is down remember your words can bring local holiday spending to a screeching halt. Either you keep people employed and in business or you get to pay for their Food Stamps. You make that choice by the tone you set in your political propaganda.

Very well said.

And accurate.

We have a Wall St. that is dysfunctional, not trading off of any type of fundamentals but instead is trading off of every word emitted by our central bank, the Fed, who is so busy printing money and artificially suppressing interest rates and altering bond yield curves, and is twisting every dial in the economy that it shouldn't even be touching, rather than let nature take its course and "ride" the free market as we should.

We have democrats dug in on unaffordable entitlements, and republicans dug in on unaffordable tax cuts, and the fake bubbled Wall St indexes are tanking on the fear of gridlock as the credit card is set to max out.

What I fear is there is so much fakery already built into the markets now, that the common people out there who are busy baking bread, digging water pipe, and operating that Xray machine are going to misread signals, where things that are good in the long run for the economy will result in the much overdue and necessary popping of these screwy bubbles on Wall St. And there will be the manipulative dogmatic people on both sides interfering with the common man's overdue education on the economy.

Bernanke fashions himself as a student of the great depression. He seems to think he knows exactly what went wrong during the last depression, and is committed to avoiding the next one. He has somehow, incorrectly, positioned himself as being the ultimate authority on tweaking the economy to avoid the necessary dips and depressions if that is where the free markets should take us. And we have a congress that is so busy in the midst of their little "civil war" between entitlements and tax cuts lets him do it, completely unchecked.

You bet its going to be tough sledding. You bet its going to be deep recession/near depression II.

Although it didn't matter who won the presidency since all the troubles come from the Fed, I swear, Obama got a big push when people saw him working with a bitter opponent like Chris Christie during a time of crisis after the storm. That is what the electorate is dying to see. Unfortunately, its too little, too late.

Going back to Greenspan, remember when the markets held their breath whenever he set interest rates? Remember how the invested middle class loved him when their 401ks grew (blew a bubble, really)? Everybody one on both Main Street and Wall Street thought that he was great. He became the financial darling of so many, everyone was making money on stocks and real estate (again, a bubble, really) Some felt Greenspan was even more influential that the presidents he served under (Reagan, Clinton or Bush).

Most people, either on Main St. or Wall St., were so preoccupied with what he was doing, that they never stopped to think if he SHOULD be doing it. And no, he should NOT have been doing what he was doing. The setting of interest rates was the job of the free market. His behavior however, brought on by hubris, was the beginning of the Fed's micromanaging of certain aspects of the economy that it had no business tinkering with in the first place. And nobody had the balls to stop him, because people were making too much income from the resulting bubbles (stock, tech, housing, banking) caused by artificially low sub-5% interest rates and his non-stop money printing. Short term Greed won over long term sound economic principles. So said "the court of public opinion".

Then we had the 2008 crash from the housing bubble exploding. The patient (the US economy) lay flat on the floor in cardiac arrest. We have since seen Congress do what it does best (spend money it doesn't have on stimulus) and we have seen Greenspan's successor artificially push interest rates into the sub 1% basement, we have also seen out of the Fed (Quantitative Easing) QE1, 2, 3 and now we are up to QEI (infnity). Bernanke has essentially committed himself to performing CPR on the body FOREVER, to keep the blood flowing to all parts of the US economic "body". And with the sub 1% interest rates, the US government now finds it can borrow money to pay for its pork and entitlement obligations for little to no cost, so there is no incentive whatsoever to deal honestly with the entitlement/tax cut "civil war" or to put the brakes on the bloated defense budget.

Anyone who tells you the above is a sound economic system is SMOKING DOPE. Or they have a vested financial interest in keeping the blood pumping to a certain extremity. The only thing we are "soild for" in the long term is continued Fed daily CPR and kicking the entitlement can down the road because borrowed money to be delivered 5 years down the road is considered "free" (or at an interest rate so tiny as to be less than a typical rounding error) to the government spenders.

We went off the rails with Greenspan, when he began twisting one dial in the economy that he should never have touched. Now we find Bernanke needing a second pair of hands to do all the dial twisting he feels he needs to do.

NONE of the above is the product of

4 years of the Kenyan
8 years of Mr. Deer-in-headlights
8 years of Mr. Lewinsky
2 wars
Solyndra
Halliburton
Whitewater

It is solely the product of the 25-year American love affair with "Mr. Bubbles" (Greenspan & Bernanke)

Absolutely, because chanting to a mythical person in the sky is the best science-based way to solve America's immediate problems.

Sounds like the Taliban was right afterall. They only use rugs instead of roasaries.
