Charvez Francisco has been charged with illegal dog fighting... for the 3rd time!! This man needs to be locked up for good! Cruel and inhumane treatment of dogs is deplorable! There is a special place in hell for people like him that mistreat animals....

Was this event associated with the Short Mountain fire? There's a news story out (it's posted on this forum, I believe) that states that firefighting activities had to stop for awhile last night when about 20 dogs and about 20 chickens all kept for fighting were located and had to be rescued. I think the story said two arrests were made.

Any connection?

The 20 or so dogs that the firefighters "saved" were sent to several animal shelters including Hawkins County. Doc Slaughter even treated some of the dogs for their bite wounds. Now we all know how Hawkins County feels about these dogs. It's a shame that the dogs will only have a short reprieve. As trained fighting dogs they will all be put to sleep along with the roosters too.

..maybe we need to apply for some type of aid to help open a rescue for this breed...THE ANIMALS ARE NOT TO BLAME...they learn what they live...even as fighting dogs ...they can be saved..yet this county has them labeled as killers because of their owner..hell this breed is labeled as killers just because of the breed..its a shame...i think its time for all pit owners to help the community understand and see how this breed is just as good as the next..

LOL! I remember this clown Charvez from Rogersville High. I wonder if he still has his little trained monkey cousin Chester Dennis running around with him going...."That's right Charvez! That's right Charvez!"

No there aren't so far. This Charvez Francisco moron actually went to the Sherrifs dept to try and claim the confiscated dogs. That's when the idiot got arrested.

Charvez was not fighting these dogs, he was only keeping them from being put to sleep, and if they were found with no food nor water, would they not be dead dogs on a chain? I am a neighbor and he was here every day to check on these dogs. You all don't know the whole story. He rescued these from a fight ring.

then how did they find a fighting ring????He should have had the females spayed so there wouldn't be anymore puppies, had the males fixed so there couldn't be any more puppies......Duh.

It is really sad that Pits are branded as vicious breed. They can be one of the most loveable dogs there are. It all depends on the way they are raised. Any kind of dog can be trained to be killers. I feel sorry for these dogs and hope that they can be rehabed into loving dogs and the pups find great homes. There should be an example made from this as to the people that fight animals.

I do agree. Most of these people don't really know him other than what they've read. We went to school and grew up together. He's always had many dogs at one given time, nothing out of the ordinary.

If what you say is true, that he saved these dogs, than I apologize, but if not, I'll say it to his face.

If you grew up and went to school with him you must also remember how his sawed off midget cousin Chester Dennis would always follow him around old Rogersville High like some sort of damn trained monkey saying "That's right Charvez.....That's right Charvez..."

And before anyone something about racism......the trained monkey thing has nothing to do with race whatsoever. Chester Dennis really DID act like Charvez's little trained monkey in school!
