Rural Health has the worst run organization in Rogersville. Get new Management. Going out of business soon. What will poor people do? Board of directors read this. look at your administration. get new ones please before you dont have anything left.(flush)urgent!!

Yep, totally agree. over an hour late keeping an appointment on a very NOT busy day. totally unprofessional. but, it reflects on the area in general, so i really no longer expect anything different around here.

I doubt they kept you waiting out of spite. A lot of the doctors there also do double duty at the hospital. When they are called in to emergency surgery or other care, they go and appointments get delayed.

For those unhappy with this, a private physician who charges three times as much won't have to be working two jobs, so he can see you on time.

I totally agree about the unnecessary lateness for the appointments. Before I go, I always call ahead and ask what time they actually will be seeing me. That is our tax dollars running that organization and we have the say so about how it is run.

Have you guys never been to the doctor anywhere? You are always made to wait. I think they get taught that in medical school right after the bad penmanship class!
Seriously though, if you don't like them then go to Welmont. Then you'll be begging for RH to take you back.

No, that is absolutely not true. it is what the people here accept because they do not know any better. I came from an area where professionals act professional - its a total contrast to here. and to answer the 'why dont you go back remark', I am, it is that bad here. getting the hell out. you should be so proud of your little town. do you show your pride with the losers rebel flag like most here?

The professionals you speak of are not from here. Rogersville is just a stepping stone for them. Part of the requirements they have to fulfill to pay back their loan.

Oh, one other thing. Good riddance.

A few years back, I was in the military. I worked at a hospital along the eastern states. I remember one day, a mother came in with their child for a well-person check-up. Well, this mother (who was an officers wife) complained that she had to wait over 45 minutes for an appointment. I explained to her, unfortunately the physician had to admit a young child for failure to thrive. She stated, no word of a lie, 'Well, if I wasn't in the military(which she wasn't) and paid for my health care like civilians I would never have to wait for an appointment.' I had to laugh under my breath, because obviously she had never obtained care in the civilian world. Unfortunately doctors have urgent needs that render them inacessible during this urgent time. We try to placant the customer only to be berated for siding with the physician. Please try to understand, yes, not all physician are saints, but a majority of them work hard and to berate them for being late for an appointment is not settling anything. I know myself, I lived in an area in which there was only one endocrinologist in a 50 mile radius. I had a choice, drive further than that, or stay with this endocrinologist who was very good at her job. She did take leeway and spent an extremely long time with each patient, to get the entire history, even though this left thos waiting for appointments to wait even longer. But to know once you got to her, she really put her heart, soul and knowledge into each and every patient was worth the wait. Now, I will tell you, I went in for a 10:00 AM appt and wasn't seen until 4:30. Yes, I certainly had complaints, but tempered with my knowledge of health care I decided to thank her for the 75 minutes she spent with me to obtain a complete and thorogh history. So, before we go off half cocked, let's realize, sometimes our needs aren't really lifethreatening and we need to take a back seat to thise that are. We are the human race, we need to show compassion to our fellow humans and some understanding. I hope you have heard, 'love thy nieghbor.'

Did you read that? Board members names are listed as publication record. Yes....management doesn't have the knowledge to run a business. No college degree. Just lied and bribed their way up the chain of command. The CEO....well she's so proud of this new complex she's having built. Hooray for her. But if shed look back at how she got to where she is. She's see its based on all people under her COMMAND were used. Talked to like dogs. Cursed at. Me included. Lied on and playing school girl game. Foolish. Not at all a professional. Don't be fooled. The devil will wear sheeps clothing.

A lot of the time Doctors will over book the appointments. What I mean by that is that the Docs book maybe 3 or 4 people for the same appointment time. Don't know why they do this, maybe because of some no shows that don't bother to call and cancel their appointments. With Obama Care it will get really bad. I don't think Obama Care has a chance but if it takes hold, be prepared for long waits and substandard care. Just my opinion.

On occasion I checkk Rogersville's vitals. After reading the various opinions and remarks I felt the need to join in. I am well familiar with the medical institutions across the country, civilian military, to include numerous parts of the world. Now I am a patient. I have been going to RHS since construction and have on occasion needed the intervention of administrative help, and when confronted in a polite manner they have always accommodated me within the constraints of law.

They however know not of a single problem that anyone is having unless told or informed.

As stated above emergencies and crises far more important than the local cold or well patient checkup is in order and referred to a triage, the process of treating the most severe first.

Telling the doctors, nurses or assistants accomplish nothing other than making their day more complicated than it already is.

Doctors, knowing that they “Practice Medicine” even need proactive relationships with their patients as it’s impossible to know everything.

Regarding the care I personally receive I want the administration, the doctors, nurses, assistants and to include the all the pharmacy staff to know how much I appreciate them.

I agree with some of the above statements to a degree. They also at times are overwhelmed and pulling the load of three persons, and sensing it, I only hope that I greet them with regard and appreciation in hopes I leave them with a smile.

Yes I too have had to wait on occasion, however it does not negate the care or the fact the facility is available and I’m grateful for both.
