Driving out East Main Street today and noticed a new restaurant at Main and Hwy 70 called the Sub Shop. When did this place open and has anyone eaten there? Excited to see a new business in town and hope that they have success. It seemed to be busy when I drove by.

Noticed that last night. I have the same questions. Who owns it? Has anyone ate there yet? Any recommendations?

I definately think that if homosexual behaviour is happening in the parking lots like that one poster who is talking about Boi's says it is,the parking lots need to be rousted by the cops.

I haven't eaten there yet but the owner is a good guy and I plan on going there soon! I'm just excited that there is a new place to eat in town.

Going East it's on the right in that rather new building. I believe Michael Flower Shop used to be there. Oops, at Brown's Corner. for those that don't know where Brown's Corner is, just before you get to the bus shop (old Raley Vaughn bldg.)

Most of the sub prices are around 5.99 for a small & 6.99-7.99 for the large.
hopefully

I do hope they make it. I am concerned on their prices (especially chips and drinks). Competition will be Roma, and pizza plus. We do need to support local businesses if possible. Economics of todays economy will make it rough on some.

I bought a small, 7 inch cheese steak and a italian sub today. The cheese steak was good though pricey,$6.49. I can get a 9 inch cheesesteak with fired onions at Roma'a for $4.50. Being from the phillyburbs I don't understand why people who try and sell this food don't recognize it's versatility.

The Italian Sub left a lot to be desired. I can make it just as good, much cheaper in my own kitchen. Anyone want to have a hoagie sale? They are great fundraisers "up north" LOL

I most likely won't go back and predict another failure.

By the way, remember the pheonix restaurant? They are asking $295000 for that place. They didn't last too long mainly due to high prices.

Remember when Food City decided to carry Dietz and Watson Deli meats? While they are very good products I knew they would never make it because of the high prices, too high for this area.

alot of times this is what happens when people choose not to support local business. they have to raise prices and then go out of business. why not give the bad feed back to the owner...help them make their business better.

I did. Although not as straightforwardly(is that a word) I didn't want to hurt his feelings. They usually don't listen anyway. Most people who have a business, especially when they are starting out, think they know it all.

Roma's Cheesteak!!! Have you ever tried one of their BBQ Cheesesteak sand. before? Those things are better than the sex you had as a young 19 year old!
