I do NOT recommend them at all. Took my car over there and they kept saying "Bad computer maybe. Waiting on friend of a friend to bring me his used computer to try it out in yours." That conversation went on for 2 weeks. He then FINALLY admitted that he didn't have a clue on how to work on it. When I took it over there, I had a good $20 in gas in it. When I pulled out of the parking lot I ran out of gas. I got it home and took a look around under there. Bolts upon bolts were loose. Not a thing had be tightened up. My computer was just barely hanging. I don't see how I even made it home safely. Because if those electrical wires had touched....it would have been a nightmare. Please safe yourself a nightmare and do NOT take your vehicle there. I can also tell you about another one as well that you shouldn't go to in this town. But that's another story for another post.

They can't even change your transmission fluid without screwing something up!

The other one is Hardesty's on 11W. A friend of mine bought a used transmission from Hardesty. He charged him $600 and some odd dollars for the transmission and the labor. He also gave a 30 warranty on it. Friend picks up his car, and within 2 weeks the transmission is out again. Friend takes it back to Hardesty's and he says "Oh yeah. I guaranteed it. I'll replace it for you. BUT, you'll have to pay me $200 for another labor fee." Give me a break....fucking crooks.

Hardesty's is the best around. all shops will charge you labor to replace anything. they guarantee the parts. but not labor if you know of any shop that does please tell who and where

I would suggest Tim Murrell, he is very good with vehicles and will do you right, his number is in the phone book.

right me either..to bicker would be pointless..but i know them all on personal levels bc we all grew up on Hickory Cove...those cars he wrks on are usually his neighbors vehicles that wont run so they cant take them anywhere else. but hey if his work was good with you then great!

I don't know about Mack, but i do know that i had a trans built by Mr . Murrell out in hickory cove, and it runs like a charm, had no more problems, i willl definately go to him again for other car needs...and i'm from morristown. so he does have more than just neighbors jobs... and he is VERY REASONABLE !
