Phone systems both land lines and cell phones do not seem to be operating consistently. Holston Electric Cooperative has employees in the building to receive calls but we are not getting calls in. We have about 6000 customers without power that we are aware of and crews are working throughout the service area.
We will remain on alert and wait for phone service to be restored . Those who have Internet service might try to go through our website and submit their outage location. www.holstonelectric.com

I went to your page and all I see when I click report an outage is your phone number. My mom is on oak grove and has no electricity. I'm sure youre aware of it but I don't know any other way to tell you. Thank you for all you do.

Where did I say it was holston electrics fault? Do you really think I thought holston electric can make their phones say that the number isn't in service? Looks like you're the dumbass doesn't it?

These electric company employees need to hurry up and get my lights back on. This is inconvenient for me to have to wait so long.I spend a lot of my government check paying my light bill and I deserve good service because I'm poor and lazy and that makes me special.I shouldn't have to call they should know when my lights are out.

Holston Electric employees are doing the best that they can and I appreciate their service, working evenings and weekends 24/7/365 in the snow. The reason why I posted here is because I have called over 30 times with no response and so have all of my neighbors who are without power as well. As for being cold, we have a back up wood stove which we chopped the wood for so that would rule out the lazy part. All adults in our house are gainfully employed and receive no government assistance. And if we were poor in spite of all of that, would that make us less valuable as humans? I think not.
