Ice cream, sandwich, coffee shop opened today. Tried it a lunch. Good food, but the service not so much. 3 ladies were working. I assume one was the owner. They were very loud and owner announced to everyone that she was going out to smoke. She stood near the entrance and smoked. I for one don't like to walk through someone's smoke. Got my food pretty quick. Only ordered a bologna sandwich. No one asked me if I wanted anything to drink. They did have drinks in a cooler. I tried to pay when I got my food, but was told to wait until I finished eating. Never got a ticket. Stood approximately 10 minutes waiting to pay for my food. By this time there were no customers. Don't know what the problem was. None of this will deter me from going back. They should get better with time. Went tonight for ice cream and 3 new workers and all were good. Talked low and quick service. Paid when I got my ice cream. Give it a try.

I believe the thread is about an ice cream/sandwich shop located in Rogersville next to Papa John's. it recently opened. I'm not sure why the posts show a Kingsport location as I live in Rogersville.

Unfortunately bad staff and service in Rogersville is the biggest downfall to any new restaurant around here. Its simple, be courteous to customers( not hang out at the table and gossip) ask if the foods OK and keep drinks filled, don't make ppl wait to cash out. Give customers ones with there change so they can tip you if they feel you done well. Don't hang out in the back gossiping with others, smoking or being loud Or trying to be funny or hicking it up. A successful restaurant shouldn't remind you of the WM parking lot.

Why in the world people don't do their own cooking at home. Much cheaper, healthy and you know what you're eating. No tips and if you are not happy happy with the meal you have only yourself to blame.

I'm a man and love to cook and pretty dang good I may add. Cooking at home should come back with the cost of living and hard times we should be more conservative. Our children and grandchildren want even know how to even turn ona a stove if this trend doesn't change.

Cook, eat and be happy and much more healthier, and did I mention HAPPY.
