Don't worry about who owns what or who manages what, just go by and eat when they reopen.

I hope a reputable person opens it up, turns it around. Maybe this person has experience, and will be very successful. I hope so. Rogersville is restaurant poor.

Here you go bashing again. Making personal attacks. Don't try to say it's not personal their not even open yet and your complaining. So what else could it be. I bet neither of you have ever ate there. Give them a chance to open and eat the food or are you afraid it'll be so good you'll have to eat there everyday? As for you church going people it will be one of the only, if not the only place not serving alcohol. So if you want a place to eat with no alcohol I suggest you support the business or live with the drunks at the table next to you. other wise keep your complaints about alcohol to yourself. And for the chamber of commerce shame on you all for not giving more support to local business. Your job is to encourage new business and support existing business, if you can't or want, or maybe you don't know how I suggest you resign your post and let someone else that will have the job. And just so everyone knows I will be eating there everyday. I will take notice and will call you out on any lie posted. I have found a place with a good atmosphere, clean and good food. And refuse to let you destroy it.

Don't really no what to say about all this negative comments. This lady has tried to make a go of this business and apparenly someone doesnt want to see her succeed. So why not hurt her. Whom ever you are who thinks you know everything needs to tell who you are. Whom ever your friend is that works there apparently doesnt know what they are talkining about either. So why not come clean with who "crap" is and show your self

It is her competition and past employees that did not work out for her doing all of this ranting and raving and the people of Rogersville are buying it, she really has improved things and it is the best and nicest resturant around. All the fast foods in town mess up your orders ever day, but do you stop going, NO, you go right back, so why not do the same here and give this lady and her family chance. So quit your bitching and give them a second chance or even a third if it takes it.

This is hysterical....she couldn't make it the first time, what makes anyone think it will change.. people got tired of poor service, cold food, and long waits..this was still happening 3 months after it opened.. she had plenty of time to make improvements.. And who ever thought of having an AUCTION in a restaurant?? All that old stuff and dust floating around.. ugh.. I wonder why the Health Dept would allow that?? As for fast foods and their bad service, etc., I wouldn't give McDonalds 3 months, would you? Nice try Phillip and Ketron. Need new people to run this place, maybe one's that have a little experience next time around..

So your saying you went there ate and returned 3 mths later a it was the same, I'm going to call you on that. What was the special that day? what did you eat that was cold? Ice cream, salad maybe. I think your lying, however you can prove me wrong by showing the receipts, answering the question above, describe your waiter/waitress, the person that seated you and what the cook looked like, I will also need the day and time of day you were there to verify what you say is true. How about the auction, what had dust on it? This is nothing more than a personal attack. People on here aren't as stupid as you think. The smart ones will go try it for themselves. If you have a problem with Phillip and Ketron who ever they are take it to them, they have nothing to do with the restaurant. I talked to the Lady that owned and ran it and I don't believe her name was either of those. I'll be watching for your post.

Donnie, have no idea who you are, and why you are fighting so much for this person. This management had their chance, and screwed it up, badly. Even if the food was better, before they closed, anyone that had been there, was not going back. If their hours had been regular, if there hadn't been auctions(tacky), if they had not been out of food items on the menu...all of that, they would still be open. What makes you think it will be any better, if it's still the same person running it? Oh, maybe you are the new management. If you are, have a trial run before you open back up. Invite a group of people to come and eat, for a preview, before you actually open back up. Maybe that will win you customers, and it will get out in the community. I, for one, would go back and try it once more, if it opens, and I hear things are different.

No I'm not the new management I myself would just make a mess of things. But since you asked why I fighting so much for this person I'll tell you. This happened to a friend of mine in Chicago, He opened a restaurant people bashed him over and over untill he had to close and lost a lot of money. Said the cook was the worst in the world. said he couldn't bake a potato much less a meal. He moved from Chicago to NY opened a restaurant same name, same menu, same cook, same manager, and trained his waitress and waiters the same. It's now a five star. Voted one of the best restaurants in the world by Fodors. He's made guess appearance on tv shows and has sold thousands of cookbooks. I would give you his name but I must first ask permission. So you see by saying you would try it again if you saw a good post on it just means you don't fill you have the ability to make that decision for yourself, but I have faith in you and think that You know what you like more than anyone else on this site. So what do say you going to try it for yourself or let someone else make your decision for you. If you would like we can meet there for lunch one day. And laugh about all this. Or better yet maybe all of topix posters can have a dinner there and we can discuss what we think right there. Maybe even start a food blog. Posting whats good, whats bad maybe do a restaurant each week, start our own rating system. That way locals and visitors can use our guide to each place. You all know what you like, I know what I like. what do you say lets do this. who's with me?

Donnie,

I never had any problem with the food. My problem was the totally erratic hours the place was open. Is there going to be an improvement in this area of operation when it re-opens? If not then they might as well just stay closed as erratic/unknown hours of operation are the kiss of death to a restaurant.

If this restaurant doesn't change name and management it will never make it. It was a failure from the start with not knowing how to set it up and bout failed inspection .

Mike I have to agree with you there. If your not open people can't stop and shop. I don't know if you stopped and checked the door, just drove by or if someone told you they were closed. In the case of myself I drove by and yes it looked closed so I just decided to check the door and they were open. After leaving there I went to dollar store and mentioned eating there and the people in the store told me it was closed. As I just stated I had just ate there. One of the customers wanted to argue but I showed him the receipt. He still insisted it was closed. I guess it would be hard to stay open the full hours if you have had no customers all day because everyone says your closed. Even though the sign at the road says "yes were open". Mike I'm trying to get people to join me there for dinner one day when they reopen, would you like to join in?
