ROGERSVILLE — Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office deputies made three arrests early Friday morning after detecting the odor of an active methamphetamine lab at a residence north of Rogersville.
HCSO Deputy Brian Boggs was patrolling Route 66-N shortly after midnight Friday when he detected the distinct odor of a meth lab at 6864 Route 66-N.
He and Deputy Nathan Simpson then conducted a “knock and talk” investigation, in which they knocked on the front door and spoke to the person who opened the door.
In this case, Tammy Sue Mallory, 34, of that address, and Fred Willard Chamberlain Jr., 52, 120 Skyview Drive, Rogersville, came to the door.
While speaking to Mallory and Chamberlain, Boggs heard someone outside in the outbuilding, at which time he approached the building and announced his presence.
Boggs said the meth lab odor was stronger at that outbuilding.
The person in the outbuilding, who was later identified as Henry Lyons Mallory Jr., 37, of that address, fled from the building and was later apprehended across the road, where he was found hiding beneath an embankment.
Henry Mallory was found to have a small jar in his pocket that allegedly contained a small amount of meth as well as a wet coffee filter that contained approximately 6 grams of meth.
Henry Mallory allegedly gave police a statement that he had just completed a meth cook prior to the arrival of officers.
Upon searching the outbuilding, deputies seized components associated with meth manufacturing including a gas generator, plastic pitchers, mason jars, tubing, coffee filters and ammonia nitrate.
Inside the residence, deputies found a gallon of denatured alcohol, acetone and empty plastic baggies, as well as a .22-caliber revolver, a .22-caliber rifle and ammunition.
Henry Mallory was charged with manufacturing meth, possession of meth with intent to deliver, maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are housed/used/stored, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Tammy Mallory was charged with manufacturing meth, maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are housed/used/stored and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Chamberlain was charged with manufacturing meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Henry and Tammy Mallory were scheduled for arraignment on Oct. 28, while Chamberlain was set for arraignment Oct. 26.
In an unrelated case, Hawkins County deputies seized a meth lab early Monday morning and made two arrests thanks to information received from another meth suspect arrested that morning.
Jonathan Paul “Johnny” Delph, 42, 1608 Route 70-N, Rogersville, was stopped by the HCSO early Monday morning when the vehicle he was driving matched the description of a car being sought in an armed robbery. Although it was the wrong vehicle, the deputy allegedly found meth and meth lab components in the car and arrested Delph.
Upon being arrested, Delph allegedly gave deputies information regarding another active meth lab in an outbuilding at the residence of George Madison Gray, 39, 313 Old Stage Road, just west of Surgoinsville.
When deputies arrived at the residence, they seized the meth lab and arrested Gray, as well as Gloria Alease Johnson, 39, 263 Kleeper Estates, Rogersville.
Both were charged with manufacturing meth, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gray was additionally charged with maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are sold.

Meth is a killer... a slow and painful killer and there is no honor amongst those who use it or produce it.
Best thing people can do who know somebody using or producing meth is to drop kick their butt out of their lives and have zero contact with them.
Every meth lab taken out is an improvement for the community.

The part of every meth lab being taken out could be true if they would stop letting them "snitch" on one another and get out of all charges. I think they should have a no bond law for meth offenders. It is a painful killer.

Just thought of an idea for people who use or are about to use meth. The before and after effects of meth are visible even to the naked eye. You can get on a computer put a picture of yourself on it and do celebrity look alikes and future age differences. So why not a site were people could put a picture of their self to see the before and after affects of meth. Sounds nutty but just a thought.
