And with that comes a cleaner clientele. Profits stay local. We do 80% of our shopping there.

We do almost all of our shopping there. Better clientele, nice stores, quick check-out, better food, & decent organic selection. Wouldn't get meat or produce anywhere else other than farmer markets. They are based local which is pretty rare these days with national chains taking over. I just don't see much if any of a price difference compared to anybody else. They have better sales and more brands in generic if saving a dime is a big issue.

clean store, professional employees, great variety, adequate checkout cashiers (unlike walmart) and no rif-raf (again unlike walmart). Best REAL beer selection in town.

Can't say enough good things about them.

Same meat & produce as super dollar. Same company owns them. Same trucks deliver to both.

Except, every night seven-days-a-week at around 1am, they run LOUD leaf-blowers, then a LOUD parking lot sweeper. It wakes up all the people in the area around the store. Every single night.

I've complained to their corporate office several times, and they've made empty promises to stop it or change the time to earlier, but never have.(To be clear, the local store has nothing to do with the sweepers -- it is a corporate-made contract.)

Food City is a bad, bad neighbor that shows no respect for the peace of families in surrounding homes.

i know it gets annoying but i assume they wait til most of the cars are out of the parking lot when employees and shoppers are done and gone so no debree hits anyone or anything which could be a lawsuit. sometimes employees dont get out of there between 1 and 4 am ..so they jave to get it done before its time for the employees get there early and start opening the store. some get there around 5-6 am. the parking lot has to be clean and clear of trash dirt and debree before it open due to regulations and policies.
