Who ever did this poll forgot to put Stacy Bowman, Tracy's twin brother. He would also be a worthy canidate along with several others that come to mind, but I'm afraid this will be nothing more than a popularity contest.

What about Matt Anderson and his shoulder braces. Playing handicap has to count for something. His dad was the principal you know.

What about the Horner brothers, Scott Trent, Cowboy, and many many more. There have been alot of great players who have worn the Chiefs colors. What about Brian Manning? There again this list could never truly be fair there are so many to pick from.

What about Daryl Fain? Didnt he go to college in Delaware somewheres because he knew the Wing T so well. I head he once caught a pass in a JV game and went 80 yards.

What about Mike Lit or Jack Cass or Isaac Cox or Hugh Jorgan or Haywood Jablomee or Ivan Offelcockitch or Dick Gozinya? Don't forget about any of them.

Also don't forget about these outstanding female athletes: Jena Talia, Liz B. Anne, Ophelia Teats, Pat McRotch, Stacy Rhect, Tess Tickuler, Anita Goodsheet, Annie Reckshun and many others. I know a lot about Cherokee athletics and have many more names to nominate if you're interested.

I remember Casey Jones being pretty good as he threw a tight spiral and rushed for alot of yards To bad he had to spit time with some kid or he would have went on to college. He was part of the Walter State Football program that never made it, but he would have been a started. Im sure of it. Thanks for the comments

I heard Adam Phipps is training Donkey's for the special carnival and spreading pixie dust on the tilt-o-whirl. I guess next year he will be guessing people's weight or working for the yack lady. She is ugly as sin, but a hella of a good cook

Lets go back to the mid-80s. CHS had some great football players that could have made it at a higher level if they had of kept their heads on straight and had the support of their coaches like JR McCracken (hardest hitter CHS as ever had and quick as lightning), S. Ryans (great QB & WR), J. Horner (great back), Chris Manning (great back and hard hitter), Ronnie Pope (fast back). The list could go on. How many guys have went on to play college from CHS? I can name a few and I know there are more but I can't remember due to old age: Bowman Twins (?), Marty Euverard, Jeff Horner, Randy Burton, Mike Powell, Stacy Ryans (1 season), Jimmy Brooks. I know thay have pictures of them at CHS but I can't name them all.

There are lots of good ones through the years but one that has not been mentioned is Scott Trent. He out played Little Man Stewart his senior year and Little Man went on to the NFL.He also had success at Tennessee Tech. Marty had awards at MTSU. Steve Starnes has atleast 3 and maybe 4 national championship rings from Carson Newman.Brian Manning was one of the best backs ever he got a full ride at Carson Newman. Stacy Ryans has a ring from Carson Newman as well. But if I've got the ball on the 2 yard line and the game is on the line I'm giving it to Stacy to go over the top!

Nothing better than rednecks living in the past. Is adult life really so miserable that you have to revert back to the "good ol' days" of high school football to get your kicks?

When I think of the principles Mobuck stands for, I think of Rusty Rimer. He is the Bobby Dodd of the mid 1990's. Why is only talent considered in this BS poll?!

Is you life so miserable that you have to put in "miserable" comments on every forum in the Rogersville Topix? No one is living in the past. They are only talking about CHS football and the great players that played there since 1980-81. You are a fool!

Just like a whining idiot to throw stones at a nice blog that does not belittle or slander anyone. Who threw you in a locker or gave you a swirly, seems that you need to get out of the past or maybe just this post.

Can't breathe in there all of the potheads got it all smoked up. Let's go behind the field house and we can remake an old fight you be Dan Ridgeway and I'll be Junior McCracken. Or maybe you can be his girlfriend and jump on my back while I'm whipping your boyfriend!
Happy Valentines Day!
No need to be all mean about it.
