racing doesn't make you guilty of anything. If a drunk is willing to race a kid, the outcome is whatever happens. I didnt really know Paul, but every time I saw that car he was flying..just saying.

This makes me so sad paul was an awesome guy. He always knew how to cheer me up when i was feeling down. Hes sad it wont be around anymore. And yes all the honda people are like family. I dont work there but I know a bunch of people who does and I also got my car from there. Im so sorry I wont be able to make it to the funeral because I cant get off but if someone could tell me where he is being buried so I can pay my respects and say goodbye. He was a really a great friend of mine and I care alot about him. Im also praying for the family as well cause I know they are dealing with it harder than I am. I just cant believe hes gone. Everyone pls keep all negative comments to yourself and let this family grieve in piece!!!

Please keep all negative and ruthless comments to yourself. Everyone needs to pray for these families... they are going through a difficult time, each in their own way. Why try to bring people down during a difficult time?!

Who cares what people think Corey u know how fast you was going if a 45 year old man couldn't drive or handle drivin a little Honda esp in that little curve he didnt need to be driving. Well, he hasn't been through as much as my friend Paul Qualls and his family has he? Why don't you show up at the funeral home and tell Paul's son what you think? I think maybe you and little Corey need to be taken out behind the wood shed for a little disciplinary action. Morons.

I think maybe you need to be taken to the wood shed for running your mouth before anyone knows the real facts. What if you were driving home late one night and someone had already wrecked and you hit their car? There is no villain in that scenario, this boy you are threatening is a kid. It's people like you that always go looking for a bad guy, sometimes son, shit happens. There is not always a "bad guy" when a fatality occurs, sometimes it just is what it is.I know both parties involved and I am very sure, nomatter the facts that neither wanted the outcome that came about. So until you find out exactly what the facts are, cool your temper, and be thankful it wasn't you.

If you were not there shut the HELL up. No one cares what you think. When you become perfect you can run your trap....

I think it had something to do with racing. on Coreys facebook he puts RIP I'm gonna miss my truck. WHat about this man thats dead??? and his family?? screw that truck. trucks are replacable, lives is not.. then looking at his facebook all he talks about is lets run em' anyone with any common sense knows what that means, he wanted to race..so therefore you know this is what happened in this incident and yes I think he should be held accountable. When you race on public roads you take this chance and if he doesnt know any better than that then he needs to be charged.
get it straight please

my friend works at the honda store said that some guys went out drinking saturday nite. not sure if anybody was drunk but everyone was drinking. they also told me there was free beers at the grand opening a couple nights before. guess thats irony.
#1 you definately have no friend that works at the honda store #2 they all left from walmart buying fishing stuff before paul went home #3 the grand opening was on the 7th and the accident was on the 10th ABSOLUTELY NO RELATION WHATSOEVER..
i attended the grand opening and everyone at the grand opening were adults and handled themselves very well. Paul was an amazing man and will forever be in everyone's thoughts and prayers along with his family. REST IN PEACE PAUL.

So Paul could have been drinking and racing a punk and its ok. What if a family was coming around the curve and Corey was racing a drunk Paul and it KILLED all of them. Would he be that great? I knew Paul. This would have been his 5TH DUI!!!!! WOW!! Tell me how to explain to my family members that this drunk guy just killed them all.
that wasnt what happened, paul was the only one killed. Keep you hypothetical comments to yourself they are very offending. the only thing need right now are prayers for the family.

This tragedy is just one of many that have happened on highway 113. I honestly feel ashamed of myself for being sucked into this ignorant argument. When we know people involved its easy to take it personal. There is no winner here. Paul was a good person but he had a thing for drinking and driving which is not acceptable. Any of us could round a curve and be killed by a drunk driver. I don't know Corey and can't comment on his driving habits. If they were racing they both knew better. None of it matters now because both families will remember this forever. The THP can investigate and maybe they'll find some truth. But, what difference does it make now? I'm just going to apologize for my previous comments and pray for both families.

well everything will be answered soon enough. but what ever happened you cant turn back time now its done. just about everyone who travels that road drives it like its nascar 500. I have been on that road a few times and those few times I have almost been hit and thought myself and my kids were going to lose are lifes due to someone else not careing about the other drivers on the road way and there safety. I want travel that road without my seatbelt. you want to go fast go to the dragstrip not the road way

corey happens to be my best friend and yes i do know the story. the man had already wrecked when corey came around the curve, the man was already thrown out of the car and laying in a ditch beside the mailbox, and the state trooper said that a seatbelt WOULD have made a difference for the man. corey stated himself on facebook that he came around the curve, doing 60 which is what every human being travels on that road unless your 90 years old, didn't have time to do anything but tense up because the man's car was laying in the road in TWO PIECES, before corey's truck hit the car.
60 miles an hour only needs 60ft reaction time + 180 ft stopping distant with ABS brakes which equals 240 ft. The curve is a sweeping curve which means you would have seen the burning part of the car in TOTAL darkness at least 365 ft from where the car came to rest. You sir are an idiot or at best a lair so just let the police do their job and I'm willing to bet they come up with something better than your STORY as you told it.

Real life always confirms theoretical science so I am sure you are correct in all your assumptions. Maybe you should come out of your "lair" and go to work for the federal government.

corey is doing fine. he is still sore from it all and is at home and has his leg wrapped up. he is, however, still having a hard time from the whole thing mentally. still keep him and the other family in your prayers.

as for you mr maybe not. kiss my ass! for one, i'm not a sir, and for two, i'm not a "lair" you dumbass. and i don't recall the other car being on fire. it was laying in the road in two pieces and there's no way you would be able to make a sudden stop at 60 mph, therefore go back to school and actually pay attention in class. & then we will talk. you are probably some nosey old asshole that thinks you know everything like half the people in this town. you don't know the story so keep your mouth shut.

Have you even drove by there? There's enough room to stop a freight train. And 60mph is 15mph over the speed limit, and 20mph over right around where the wreck happened.

I'm just curious as to what you are trying to justify? That if you are wrecklessly driving, according to the law, then there wasn't enough time to stop and that's ok? I honestly do NOT drive 60 on that road, I don't want a speeding ticket. It's not acceptable to argue 60mph at all and make a valid point in his defense.

Actually the speed limit is 40 where the wreck occurred. The is a 40 mph sign a couple hundred feet before.

Seems to me you are just trying to make your self believe that all that happened had nothing to do with 2 vehicles traveling too fast on an State Highway....are you trying to justify the death of another human and say well at least it wasn't me....Well you believe what you must but when the report comes out look for charges to be filed and I venture to say you will be one of those friends that just walk away thinking OMG I'm glad that's not me going to jail for vehicular homicide...
