Checked out the new liquor store that just opened up on Washington street today. Looks like they have a bigger selection than the other one in 66 Plaza does....

If you don't like it do not patronize the business? simple solution for brain dead fundamentalist cult members who wish to impose their beliefs and life on others. bottom line ,no freedom, no choice! just live and do what "we" want you to do. sounds like Obama.

What is the name of this new liquor store? I'm personally glad we have the stores. Think of how much revenue they will be bringing in.

On Washington St??????????

Thats not gonna work good for a location.
They shoulda/needed on main street to get traffic flow they need. Being where they are just arent gonna get the business flow they need like the Hwy 66 one will.

Would never knew it was there if hadnt seen here and in the paper on front page.

You need a MAIN drag location to get even pass thru traffic to know where are and impulse buyers as would see the store and stop in. Who cruise's Washington street??? LOL... BAD location I am telling you.

doesn't matter in the spirits biz if you treat ppl "good" they will come to you. They just don't need druggie looking ppl working or hanging out in front like the other does. NO LOITERING signs work well, u may have to explain what that means....lol..but they get it. Plz don't let the employees sit around out front chain smoking so that the customers that don't want to smell smoke DOESN'T HAVE TO. Ty. As for the other post what are you talking about what cult do you mean? That post doesn't make sense.

The product will draw the people. The Morristown location of "behind the ol' Sky City is a similar location and they have sold hundred of thousands of bottles over time. And, mostly to Hawkins County clients, I might add. No one would just happen by that location, by chance. The product is like a cow pile drawing flies! They'll find it!

Yeah, liquor pretty much sells itself no matter where the location is and with so many Rogersville residents so happy not to be having to drive to Kingsport and Morristown to get a little hootch,I would imagine that both rogersville stores will do really well.

Washington St. is the street where the old jail used to be. The new liquor store is right next to and in the same building as East Tn. Printing.
If you enter the Sheperds Center parking lot on main street and go out the back exit of the parking lot the store is right straight accross the road from that back exit of the parking lot. You can't miss it. The store has black bars on the front window and door.

They are cheaper than the other one by like 50 to a dollar maybe more on more expensive things and they do have a bigger selection also they're local... another good thing is that having it behind Shepard's center means I can park there and my Baptist friends wont know im getting drunk

My prediction, on of these will fold with 18 months unless they have the funds to operate in the red. Absolutely no way that two stores will ever ever make it in Rogersville. One will have a hard time, if they really want to make a profit, but common sense should tell them they are spinning their wheels trying to remotely make a living in this town. That is my prediction, 12 months really, but they will try and hold on for 18.

Have been to both stores once. Didn't really notice the difference in prices as you say but I did notice that this new store has a much bigger selection as compared with the one out at 66 plaza.
