I know she runs the county system. My statement was to the people talking about them living in the county or city. It doesn't matter if you live in the county. You can still go to the city. You just have to be excepted.
Are you excepted? As a product of the county educational system, I would be inclined to say that you should be ACCEPTED.
Your education has failed you.

I don't understand why the post that started this thread disappeared! I thought it was nice that someone was complementing the Review for the wonderful article about the director's grandson's first day of kindergarten. There wasn't anything wrong with the post! Sarah Proffit gave an excellent look at a child's trip from home to school on their first day! I can't understand why some post like this are removed and other which should be removed are left alone.

Let me get a few things straight... It only costs 300 dollars for the entire year at RCS, 150 per semester. This applies if you DO NOT live within Rogersville city limits. Any child can go to RCS if you DO live outside the city limits and other counties Hancock, Hamblen, Green wherever. As long as you are willing to pay the tuition, and there is room available.

Wow, jealous of what? I don't have a child in the school system. Just wondered who decided the family to do the feature on. Can you tell me without getting so mean?

The Hawkins County School Board needs to say why Britton enrolled her grandchild in the city school and what they think about it.

Why do you assume the "grandparent" is the one who enrolled the child in the city school system??? The kid has a parent, I assume!

I happen to know for a fact it was the "grandparent."

No. It's Britton's other daughter who works for the county school system. School board meets Thursday night. Wonder what they're going to say about it? Probably nothing.

If granny doesn't have custody then granny can't enroll him.

Why would they say anything??? Not HER child, not HER choice.
