No way, this can't be Jerry Witt the school teacher. I know him well, and he is not in any way associated with drugs or drug activity. Must be another person!!!!!!!!!!1

Sorry to bust your bubble, but it is Mr. Whitt the reitred teacher. He's on meth. No lie. That explains a lot doesn't it. Our teachers are on meth or screwing students. No wonder we're all so screwed up.

I can't believe Mr. Whitt is on meth! I had him as a teacher in the 6th grade. What is this world coming to? I wonder how long he has been on meth? Was he doing it while he was teaching?

The man is a retired teacher. Let im enjoy his retirement for Christ sake. And, if that involves a little meth and a couple of meth hores in a cheap Rogersville motel room, so be it. Some people grow flowers or ride motorcycles when they retire. Some people snort crank off a meth hore's teets. To each his own.

The bust was at Quality below town. Tommy Anderson,Jamie Blare ,Misty B.Pearson & Mr.Witt. They where in a room there not sure of all that took place but thses are the people I do know that. Meth was a factor. Not sure if there was a lab cooking but there was some meth there. I belive there just might be a couple of rats in this bunch if you know what I mean. All these people went to jail but charges were pending. Some where just there for questing .hmmmmmmmmm! you guess who!!!!One of these people had been gone maybe 20-30min. when them 7 got busted july31st.hmmmmmmmmm!!!
And great for that person...you must realize that the rest of us drug free people in the community loves seeing those that get caught. It's funny how you sort of people think it's wrong for another one to snitch, as you call it. It's ALL wrong what the druggies do, who cares if they tell...hoo--raaaahhhh for those that get caught !!!!

On another thread, there is a link showing those arrested, WBIR listed them, and sadly, Jerry Whitt the schoolteacher is one of them....He according to the reports is the one that rented the room......Guess you really never know anyone, and his picture was in the weekend edition of the Review for his anniversary which will be the 40th one. Ironically, his wife is prayer leader and a youth person at a local church. Feel bad for her..

I would agree that this is a drug that destroys so many......but with this said it is also has such a strong hold on your mind you do things that under normal thought you would not do and for someone who does this feels they have been tossed in the trash to start with !so maybe dont be so fast to judge and throw them in the trash they are well aware that rock bottom is only a bowl away. and its not what they set out to do is die its the hold and the thought of feeling like someone if its only a min.Look around everyone you know is on a drug of some kind pills ,meth, k-2 or m.jane or beer ,wine ,liquor so this is the same thing pray for our county don't try to be judge and jury !im sure you hv had many skeltons in your closet

And here we go.... another apolgist for bad behavior. I HONESTLY get tired of those who see something wrong with criticism of those who break the law, and tell everyone not to "judge". NO WONDER kids think anything goes, when this attitude is so pervasive. IF you do not want anyone to "judge" you, your friends, your kids or your kin, then encourage them NOT TO ENGAGE IN ACTIVITIES WHICH ARE AGAINST THE LAW. That is called personal responsibility and we have too little of it anymore.

Four Hawkins County residents are facing multiple drug-related charges following a meth bust in Rogersville.

The Hawkins County Sheriff's Office says their investigation started at the Quality Inn Motel on Highway 11W in Rogersville.

Deputies say 63-year-old Jerry Richard Whitt rented a room at the hotel, where they later found drug paraphernalia inside.

While they were in Whitt's room, two women stopped by with meth and Xanax pills.

They have been identified as 28-year-old Misty Nichole Burns-Pearson and 31-year-old Jamie Lee Blair.

Officials say Pearson told them she bought pseudo-ephedrine from 30-year-old Nicholas Vincent Matroni, also known as "Mississippi."

Police tracked down Matroni and arrested him at his home in Mooresburg.

They are facing charges for multiple counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, among other charges.

YOU are a perfect person never do no wrong im not saying they dont deserve to pay for the crime !!!! I am saying don't go casting stone at someone who is aware that using drugs is digging your own grave they are adults and make their own mind up to use or walk away !! and the reason they do them only they know we don't ! even with someone who goes to a dr. has a reason to go and seeks help and if you know anyone who has a drug problem it is a battle daily to try and stay clean and it is a low worthless feeling to think that you are called trash and no one cares they are human and god does forgive!!! so my point is yes they broke the law and should pay but not thur your criticism

That is the truth about Meth it can be anyone. Doesn't anyone get it? It could be your neighbor! Some sources say for some people it takes one time! I do feel sorry for his wife and family, they are innocent in this, but he is responsible for his own actions. I do not understand why some here are trying to rationalize his role in this. Meth is an equal opportunity drug, it does not descriminate!

Is that the same Jamie Blair who got arrested the other day for child abuse?
