I agree, Rogersville does need to open a gym to the public. it would probably keep these kids out of trouble and plus its to hot for them to be playing outside

I remember the Rogersville City School use to open their gym(free of charge) every summer when school was out. You could also play ping pong, Baseball, cards(Author, Old Maid,Hears,Spades), kickball, Carroms(they would have a Carrom tournaments), and checkers.

YOU SHOULD KNOW BY NOW THAT ANYTHING YOU TRY TO DO FOR KIDS GETS DESTROYED BY THEM. YOU THINK ITS GONNA "KEEP THEM OUT OF TROUBLE", YOU ARE THE FOOLS, YOU ONLY GIVE THEM A DESIGNATED PLACE TO DO THEIR DRUGS AND F**K OFF. TODAYS YOUTH IS A LOST CAUSE.

bless the little lazy shtts . ohhh, its to hot. theres nowhere to sit or a fan blowing . what do you think the taxpayers spent millions on the city park for? stop giving and catering to these kids and make them do something other than whine and take up space .

we have tried the city school every year they won't open it. I'm willing to pay to play indoors. the out door courts suck around here. city park the rims bent the court is slippery. swift park as big cracks in it. city school outside court is alright. the guys I play with we have to go out of town just to play in a gym. it sucks having to drive 30-60 min just to play ball

I'm willing to pay to play inside to. I'm with you on having to drive out of town to play it sucks. get there and no ones playing have the time. but really there's 5 indoor courts in this town and they can't open one. I remember when elementary would open on Sundays but they stop that. park and rec should do a league like they do church league but have a open league

key words .. take care of it , dont beend the rims , no littering , dont steal the nets . whos going to pay for the damage? the schools and taxpayers dont want to be sued for injuries that has absolutely nothing to do with school . anyone that says the kids will be responsible without supervision is lieing .

This is a great idea but the problem is, either the kids around here destroy everything or usually the preps or in groups take over so the regular kids don't feel welcome anyway.

If you've ever been to the indoor court at tally ward in Morristown you'll know that there is never trash left and everyone is respectable and nothing gets damaged. That's what wrong with the kids now is we have no one to give us hope just because of a few bad kids with bad parents. In my opinion, some of you older folks should stop all the finger pointing and just try to be role models.

have us sign papers invade someone gets hurt where it won't be there fault. have someone from the school stay around the school and just stay around and watch. just two hours aday would be great

that's what they did at the elementary school. the maintenance guy would come and open it and play for couple of hours. or rent a gym out

someone has to pay for that person to work over time and liability insurance . are you kids going to pay for that ? if so , talk to the school board and put your name on the paper identifying who is responsible even though that does NOT make you the BOSS .. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and just not your own private gyme. maybe the good kids need to police the bad kids and then maybe the public would not put you all in one group . one bad apple will ruin the whole barrel !!

In this day and time it could pay off later on if you made sure it is under video surveillance as well, to have documentation in case any legal issues are ever brought up.

maybe you kids need to step up because your parents are dead beats . MAYBE you should be better than that and stop pionting fingers at your parents because they are dead beats . if your parents are dead beats and you follow in their footsteps , what does that say about you ? you kids today could and should do more and better if you would get your head out of your asses . you kids today could change the uninted states of america way better than it is today if you would pull it together because you guys are the future but all you want to do is blame the past . the past is the problem but as i said , you guys are the future , get together , stand strong , jerk a knot in the bad apples , straighten out what us old fogies have screwd up or shut the fu@@ up and stop whinning .......

who is going to pay for the VIDIO SURVEILENCE , the kids or the tax payers ? who is going to pay the court cost when wrong is done by a juvenile and the parents are on welfare ? i'll tell you , TAX PAYER !! who is going to pay for injuries when parents are on welfare? i'll tell you , TAX PAYER !! stop talking shit and put your name on a contract with the school board accepting all finantail responsibilities after regular school hours and i will back you 100 %, but let me remind you that just because your name is on the contract , that does NOT make you the boss . OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ..
