WHY does it dissipate more and more each year? 10 years ago you could actually go and find SOMETHING other than FOOD!!! I think they should lower the booth rent to get some new venders!!! I think the heritage association needs a new outlook or so thing!Just my thought! ANYONE W ME??

I agree with you!!! Heritage Days before use to be so much fun. I liked it alot better when the local people, like churches and business would set up. You didn't mind buying things then cause you know who it was going to and they always had great stuff to offer. I think putting all of the food vendors down one street is crazy and should be spread out more. It is just two crowed to walk though and to expensive. For what I bought for my family and I to eat I could have gone to a nice resturant. When you have small kids and they need something to eat---of couse you don't have a choice.

I bought two corn dogs and two drinks for $17. I could have went somewhere better and got more food.

I know !!!and "JUST ME " im w ya on the food street the SHOULD spread it out over the entire area . If you are thirsty for a $2 drink and your at the other end then you have to fight all the crowd . Some one needs HELP w the planning and pricing!!!And also do you remember 3-4 yrs ago they actually had a pretty good 'childrens area'!! Not now! it so needs improvement or in a year a 2 they will just have $6 burgers and kettle corn!!

The Heritage Association is going to kill Heritage Days. Come on, look at our economy. People can barely afford to pay bills, much less keep food on the table and gas in the tank. It is becoming apparent that Heritage Days are for the "well off". I thought that Heritage Association's job was to maintain the traditions and heritage of the town, not systematically tear it down.

I remember when I was young, on Friday night, they had cloggers and dancers in the parking lot where Citizens Bank is now. The car show is nice but you can only look at them so many times. And Depot Street, there used to be booths all the way down to the old Chevy Bldg. Why can't there be more activities on Friday and Sunday and spread the food booths down Depot street? There is a huge power box located near the Christian Church.

I didn't go this year because of how expensive it was. I enjoyed going to Heritage Days very much.

I have lived here 4 years. This year I finaly went to see what all the fuss was about. I will not ever go back. Over priced everything. I actually did stand in line to get a Gyro. I have not had one since I moved to this area and was really looking forward to it. After 15 minutes in line I saw the price then went to hardees.
At least I got a couple of good pics.

It has turned into an over priced flea market. I remember there used to be so things that talked about the heritage of Hawkins co., now it's everything but that. Growing up it was neat to see the "old way" of doing things, and then it was nice to see old friends and former school mates, but now no one can afford the alleged crafts, and when I walked down Main st. Sat. and Sun I didn't recognize hardly anyone. Oh well I guess I'm getting old. lol

4H used to do the barbeque chickens and the youngin's yard was great. I have not been in three years. The last time I went to Heritage Days there were not very many things to look at other than crafts and what not. I do wish things could be more like the 80's and 90's. Are is it I am just getting older and things aren't as exciting as they used to be. Please tell??
