Hey cat do you know a lot about Raysal.I was born in Raysal,to be exact in Paddle Fork. When I lived there Tom mullins lived at the top of the mountain in the left fork.Jesse also lived close by to his dad Tom.Roscoe and Belle Whitt also lived in the left fork. Now in the right fork of paddle fork.Frank and Gracie Atwell, after Frank moved up slate creek,Willard and Dicey Bowman moved there, later Willard's son Elmer and Lavada moved next to him.Noah and Oma Cooper lived just below the Bowman's.A little later Alice and Arthur Christian also moved beside her dad Willard.Below the Cooper's lived Theodore and Viola Waldron and about half way up the right side of paddle fork lived Frank and Kizzie Brewster now this was the early 60's.God bless

in reply to "Cat" I lived there in the 50's. The one I lived in is still there or at least it was this past summer. I drove to Raysal to see if it was there and it was but someone was living in it. I wanted to stop and introduce myself but I was afarid to. The house is a white house. It (back in the 50's did not have a driveway going up to it you had to drive up a driveway behind it but not you can enter it from the main road. It sits on the right side of the road coming in from Gilbert area and there is 3 homes there. One of which is on the upper side of it which it was not there when I was liviing there. I sure to wish I could find out some info about it. If you can help me I would surely appreciate it

to Cat - Yes I did live on the main road and it was the two story house that the superintends lived in. My dad was a superintendt for Island Creek Coal Company. So thank you for knowing this. Do you know if anyone lives there now or is it empty? Wow the tombstone you are talking about is amazing. I sure would like to see it. Also any info you might have about that house please let meknow. About 10 years ago (maybe longer) I went to visit my cousin (Hazal Wagoner) and she know the people that lived in the house. She took me there don't remember their names but they were very nice and even let us go inside and look at the house. They tole me a lot of things and we had a very intersting conversation because most of the things they told me I also experienced as well as them. I have always wondered about that house and would appreciate finding all information I possible can. Can you help me?
