Sunga: Man of action

Full story: Vallejo Times-Herald

It is amazing how many candidates say they support the seniors. And I am thankful to them for that.

there is nothing from stopping seniors or any othervoting age group from forming large groups and taking on an issue. they then as a large group make their cause known through the news media then present it to the mayor and city council for action. there is power in numbers. if enough people come together and present their case and the powers that be refuse to do it, that group also has the power to remove the mayor and city council through a recall. power in numbers can force the leaders to either wake up that they work for us, or are removed and a new election will make an attempt to get someone that will work for and listen to the people. time power is taken back by the people and the message gets to those elected they work for us and better start representing us instead of special intrest.

I agree with you....Sunga is a fraud and a fool.. he gets a master's degree from a diploma mill and his response is ' well I paid the fee, took a test and got the degree'. He also raised the most money in his previous campaign and then sent a letter to his donors asking to cover the $17,000+ debt his campaign had after the election!!!

Arent' all these prior bloggers out of whack? Why not stick to the letter and use facts to counteract the claim, instead of blogging nonsense. I'm with Frank. Hermie Sunga has done good service for the seniors in Vallejo.

Maybe the point is that Sunga says he done things, but he hasn't. He claimed he was instrumental in the Sr. Roundtable, which first was a lie, and secondly he never attends the meetings. He has been able to lie and cheat his way along and those who don't know any better, believe him.

Sunga's english is pinoyspeak and the only reason this moron was elected was because the very large Filipino population ALWAYS votes for their own kind, no matter how incompetent,

To Gun Metal Blue, Oh Brother, Fureal, and JZR:
If you're not one and the same person, please note that the election is over. Sunga, the incumbent you sought to crucify, has the Vallejo voters' mandate for a second term. His accomplishments are real. Your criticisms are groundless. I rest my case. LOL

I only post under one name.... I know from first hand experience what a total waste of space Sunga is. It has nothing to do with the election. It has to do with him grabbing credit for things he hasn't done, and it didn't help when he tried to cheat in the forums by reading a prepared statement and got caught. It doesn't help that he tried to buy a Masters degree and got caught. It speaks to integrity. Maybe he is helpful to the Phil. community, but the city is made up of many ethic groups and they all need representation and solutions.

The senior round table was not Sunga's idea but the result of Mayor Intinoli's request to the Human Relations Commission to look into forming a volunteer base to make visits to the city's convalescent hospitals and nursing homes. The concern stemmed from an ongoing problem of poor treatment for the residents, especially those who don't have anyone that comes in and check on them. Since many of these businesses are run by Sunga's friends and constituents, he jumped on board and diverted the attention away from checking on the patients, thereby protecting his friends. The senior round table does a lot of posturing and patting each other on the back, but is still neglecting to address the problems that brought this group together. This is just one more lie that Sunga builds his credentials on, similar to his fraudulent educational degree. There is something fundamentally wrong with a group of people who boast about the achievements of a person who lied about his education and takes credit for things that he did not do. Shame on Sunga and the people that are willing to vote for a fraud.

<quoted text>
His supports will not agree with you or me, becuase it works for them. But what you say is abslutely true. Sunga is a liar and integrity were gun powder, he couldn't blow his own nose. I am not familiar with VIB. I checked the site once and found it to contain too many opinions without fact. But if they really cared about integrity in the City they would focus their attention on what a fraud Sunga is. It's pretty maddening. Say what you want about Bartee, but he not only is a member of several committees, he showed up and participated at the meetings. Sunga is a parasite.

To all the Sunga haters I've mentioned before: Take your blood pressure readings every morning, and start counting, but don't hold your breath. Sunga's second term is a good 4 full years....He's got mandate. Whether you agree with Vallejo's majority voters or not... heh heh heh

Sunga finished a distant 3rd--hardly a mandate.

What he does have is the support of the Filipino community who doesn't seem concerned about his ethics or lackluster performance on city Council.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Libra

Don't put yourself through anything that isn't absolutely necessary, Libra. After all, why cook when others will gladly serve you at their house, or treat you to a wonderful meal at your favourite restaurant? Even when you assert yourself, there seems to be a wonderfully passive quality to your manner. Now that the universe has finally decided to give you some of what you want, make sure your wish list is short and don't be greedy.
